E-Gold Update - All Egold members please read - by Admin at 2005-12-19 17:41:50 We are writing this message to update you on the latest news regarding e-gold one of our payment processors.
This past weekend e-gold website experienced technical difficulties and was unavailable from the evening of Friday, December 16 until the morning of Sunday, December 18. Since that time the site has been functional but has not been performing at full capacity.
What that means is while many of you may be able to log in to your e-gold accounts, functionality is limited. Many cannot upgrade and more importantly we have been delayed in making our normal batch payments to our members.
We realize that this is now the sixth business day for many of you. We need you to understand that the functionality of the e-gold website is unfortunately out of our control. As of 5:30 this afternoon, E-Gold performance has started to improve again and we are now able to process payments. We will process as quickly as possible and hope their systems continue to improve.
We have had several requests to pay pending e-gold payments to stormpay or to convert pending payouts to upgrades. Due to account security reasons and technical limitations we will not be able to offer these options.
We will continue to do our part to get the payments made as soon as the e-gold system will allow. In the meantime, we ask that you do your part:
1. Always check for and read any member news items every time you log into your member homepage. That is where we will post any new updates on this issue.
2. Do not call us regarding this e-gold issue. We cannot respond to individual request for e-gold information
3. Do not submit help tickets about this e-gold issue. With thousands of members we cannot answer individual tickets about this matter
4. If you have already opened a ticket about this matter please immediately close it
5. We understand you maybe anxious about this matter, but please be patient and allow our staff to do their job.
As far as long terms solutions, we urge all of you that have been negatively affected by this e-gold issue to use stormpay as your payment processor going forward. We are aware that there are some countries to which stormpay does not provide service. We are in the process of completing plans for a third more cost effective payment solution for our members. We hope to have news on that at the beginning of 2006.
Until then please remain confident that we are doing our best to deal with the difficult situation. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

I just did a $18 upgrade from Stormpay cos I just didn't have enuh in egold and it wasn't working. I sure hope that in 6 days time, things will have all been paid and I can go in with a more sizeable upgrade!
great... hope it will be up soon, I don't want my payment to be delayed!

I don't think anyone stupid enough to risk it especially it is the case with ST. Even you get paid twice, the chance that you can get the fund out of ST to ur bank is ZERO plus 12DP will file chargeback if they don't return within 24 hours. If the payment processor is egold, then theres a small chance to get away with it still no one wants to do it when they are making some good with 12DP.

Finally able to login to e-Gold. I transferred the balance out as upgrades. Getting tired of the constant login issues over the past two weeks. IMO, it just doesn't indicate a level of competancy that I'm comfortable with for my main exchanger. Maybe the loss of some user traffic will help them improve their service.
On the other hand, 12DP was again a smooth surf today. Waiting on my payment from 12/14 ... hopefully on Wednesday.
