This is because your ISP only issue one IP to your house. At your router it will use NAT and give each of your computers a private IP which is not known to the outside world.

Hence to the outside world, it will only see one IP even if you have 4 computers. As with regards to the 12DP issue, better to have different IPs when signing up to prevent incidents like the current case from happening again. It is to ensure everyone will have a good surfing experience.

Just my 2 cents.

We have a cyber cafe in the ground floor of our apartment and one of my referrlas does her surfing from that cafe. Actually she uses different palces to surf.
Now that Cafe and my house are using the seriveces from the same ISP and everyday I see my IP change.
Now will there be any problem with my account since the range i.e. the first thre digits are always same

I believe that is the case of Dynamic IP. By right it should be ok but I believe currently what happen to the Singapore incident is due to the fact that most of SG members using dynamic IP have the network portion of the IP hence the measures taken by the admin affected quite a handful of users.

However if honest members I think should be no problem, but just to be sure you might wan to consult other more senior members on this. smile.gif

I feel it won't affect you in any manner. It is not everyday your IP changes. It even changes every time when you swich off and swich on. Your cyber cafes IP will be different for sure. That way if you consider India is not even having more than 20 ISP's for 105 crore people. No way its gonna affect you.

Please send me a PM by checking your IP twice as well as the cyber cafe's IP. I will tell you more

I think there should not be a problem, this Singapore case is due someone trying to be funny. Dynamic IP should be ok to be used to surfed. I mean even with a sub-mask of 255.255.0.0, there is more than enough IP and the chances of getting the same IP is pretty low.

Seems to me your account may have been stolen ex. you not being careful with your passwords, or you fell for the one email 12dailypro had told us about with the keylogger

Sounds like someone got your 12dp account hacked
and changed the email address so you can't log in anymore.

In Any event do not send any eGold password or you would get scammed.
Submit urgent ticket to 12dp and if you have somedays to go before your upgrade
expires you might be lucky enough to get your account back.

You should provide them with your email/user id which probably was changed
and receipt/copyof your payment along with your ref id # if you know it,so they
can get track of your account ASAP.

Check your computer for keyloggers/trojans and in any event never provide your eGold password to anyone,Noone needs it except for crooks.

Either you do or you have cheated,one of the two.
If you have not cheated by having multiple accounts
then as advised check your computer and submit urgent ticket
and post in their forum.

bah you think you dont have a keylogger , those are very hard to get rid of and from what it seems you dont seem to be very computer literate considering you believe a email asking for that much information came from 12daily
