tongue4.gif I just wanted to let you know that it is refreshing to deal with a real person who is doing real trading. I made a $10 investment (loan) last week and hope to invest more in the future.

I started getting involved in the HYIP game with play money in September and have made $564.95 in spends and have received $137.82 in my e-gold (-75.60%) return.

Initially I invested in programs with high rate of returns, that were active in the forums, only to get burnt. I wasn't aware of the dishonesty by admins and how a program can just shut down. Some programs admit they are a game and stop when withdrawals reach 90%. I was in one such program that I never received a withdrawal, yet I still receive emails from them claiming they successfully sent a withdrawal to my e-gold account ( as high as $5,000 ). It would be nice, considering I started with $5 and just kept compounding, and requesting for occassional withdrawals, but I never even received $1 in my e-gold.

One program I was in, supposedly had the most honest admin. out there. People still rave about him, but he sent out an alert in his forum that the program is in trouble and all payments are on hold until the end of the month. Based on the tone of the postings by the admin., it doesn't sound good at all. I was encouraged with the program when I first got in, but now, it looks like I'm going to be out $145. It could be worse.

I still believe that there has to be some honest programs out there. I have open spends of $70 in three compounded programs including this one. I like the fact that you aren't looking for as many investors as possible, and not using monitors. Your website is sincere and personal and to the point. I invest in stocks and mutual funds on my own; have a retirement plan at work, but I know nothing about forex trading. I wish you luck in your forex investing for yourself and for the others that have loaned you money to invest on their behalf. smile.gif

Thank you for your nice message. I am familiar with that program you are talking about with the problems, and from the voices in the message board here, it is not looking so good. I put in only the $25 minimum, so I will not lose much, but I know some people who put in a whole lot more. I only play these HYIPs as games now, as that is what they really are.

Most of my attention is on my trading. I have bad days and good days, but I hope to make most of my days good days. If I have a good first part of the week, I tend to take the rest of the week off instead of trying to get even more out of the market. That kind of greed can get you into a lot of trouble. Right now, I am a bit down, but the week is still young, so there is every chance of a rebound.

I have looked at stocks and futures and commodities, even sent away for an expensive commodities program to learn how to buy pork and sugar futures. Paper trading went pretty well but it was kind of erratic. Then I ended up trying FOREX. There was no turning back for me. That market is extremely active, and if you know what you are doing, you can start with $500 and keep growing with no ceiling on the potential.

Anyway, thanks again for your message. You have made my day! smile.gif

Welcome!

What kind of Mac do you have? I started life with an old PowerBook 3400c and then upgraded to an iBook G4. Wish I had gone to MacWorld Expo in SF, but too busy with other things these days. But I really want one of those iPhones now!

0.0% gain for the week

Better than a loss, right?

New screenshot is on the web site. I am going to take a break this weekend, maybe take a drive somewhere where I can see a bit of snow.

I was not happy with my performance this week, but at least I did not lose my shirt. I hope to return on Monday with a clear head and a market that behaves for me... smile.gif

Thanks! Sometimes I have a hard time finding it as well. Wish I could be a little more proactive, but I have so many things going right now, including trying to eke out a little profit this week, though it is not looking that great at the moment... I guess that is the problem with a variable interest rate program - sometimes you have a good week, other times the week has a good time with you... smile.gif
loopy22
OK. The results are in for the week. It was a bad week, but it was not as bad as it could have been. I ended up with a 0.3% loss which could have been a lot lot worse. I am thankful that it was not worse and will try again next week. For anyone who has e-gold with me, I am rounding this miniscule loss to zero and considering it a zero gain week.

I would take a nice long drive right now, but my "check engine light" just came on, so I am going to take the car to the shop on Monday and just keep at home this weekend. Nice weekend to everyone else though! smile.gif

I apologize for the lateness of this update, but I have been recovering from a pretty mean illness that has kept me in bed most of the time. Trading results for last week were blah. No gain, but also no loss. So far, no one has lost money here, which is a good thing. I am feeling better now and hope to be able to focus on trading this coming week. Thanks to all the new folks who joined me these last few weeks! smile.gif

And makila, you are correct. It really was not a good week for trading in general...

Loopy22 with al respect a custom design costs only max 200$. If somebody wants to invest in a program they want to see some professionalism and your site is not reflecting that.

I know design isnt everything but it is important...

So my suggestions visit a professional template designer and give your program a serious name man unbuttered? tongue4.gif

Maybe thats what loopy wants. With a better name and a better design maybe more investors are sucked into the sites, but the most successfull sites are those that stay under the radar in the long term. Most sites launched in 2006 that had a very cool and nice design with lots of rings and bells all crashes down while uninteresting looking sites with a poor design performed very well and lasted through the year easily. It all comes down to what you desire. Quality or quantity? I dont say loopy shouldnt work on a better design but its simply not TOP priority.

Thank you for your comments. My goal here is not to make huge amounts of money by tricking people into investing here with lots of flash and design. If I wanted to do that, I would definitely invest a lot of time, effort, and cash into a beautiful design. Then, I would pay a dozen monitor sites to keep track of me. Then, I would rake in the e-gold, pay out for a while, and then disappear into the night.

I now have exactly 10 people investing with me, and if it never grows beyond that, I would not mind. I never did this site in order to get as many people to join up as possible. I did it to give people an alternative to all the fly by night sites that take your money and shut down within a week. You may not end up earning as much here as you could by gambling with a flashy site, and you may actually lose in any given week, but my plan is for everyone to come out ahead. So far, that is what is happening. I have no reason to disappear, and if I ever do decide to close the program, it will only be after everyone is paid their full balance.

Anyway, time to have some coffee and breakfast. Will talk again soon! smile.gif

Thanks, makila. If I never get another deposit into my e-gold account, it would not matter to me. As a matter of fact, it would save me some work, as I have a decent number of investors right now. Probably the only thing I will do different in the future is segregate all my investor funds into its own account at OANDA and trade it separately from mine. But that is probably way in the future...

Nowadays I am drawn more and more to the quiet soft lighting of a program like this. What do you mean by a serious name? post-36326-1110185726.gif ..... I think we have had enough of the 11 by 11 by 12 Golden Instant by 13 Daily garbage, you can hardly tell the difference between many of them now.

As to the "glitz and glamor" garbage...yes I said garbage...I always did stay away from those sites even when I played the games out there. Give me down to earth sites that are secure as an admin can make it with no desire to reap in the flakes...that's loopy folks...down to earth and focused on what's best for her members!!

I luv this site and the admin who runs it...a nice small member base where we get one on one attention is the best in my view! Keep on plugging away loopy...us lil members luv ya!!

Hello Everyone!

Good news today. The results are in, and I posted a 1.1% profit this week! I know it is not as much as you can get from a 12DP clone, but steady and slow wins the race, right? I am off to the Bay Area this weekend for some R & R. Will return again Sunday evening. Might check things here if I get access to the Internet. Until then, see you next week! smile.gif
