Just thought I would let people know that someone has my e-mail address, and is using it to send spam mail.
I never communicate with anybody in the industry with my own e-mail, please ignore any of this spam mail

I never communicate with anybody in the industry with my own e-mail, please ignore any of this spam mail Pete Hi Pete How easy is it for idiots to do this? I received an email months and months ago, (nothing to do with MMG), purporting to come from myself advertising viagra or some rubbish and I was a bit worried. I looked carefully at the Properties and it came from a gordon somebody or other. I didn't report it, I just deleted it. I didn't get my account shut down, I never got any more emails from myself like that, but I have received a number of emails on a regular basis selling meds from this gordon person, perhaps under different guises. Just the other week I decided to make a message rule so that his emails go straight into my delete box. It's still scary all the same, knowing that there are these junkies / clowns / criminals out there, possibly posing as you, selling their trash.

My Antivirus runs everyday and I don't have anything just now. I did get a couple of Trojans from IE last week which got put in the vault. Can you explain more?
i dunno if its a trogan
i always get emails from 'admin@moneymakergroup.com' saying invest here blah blah or admin@talkgold .... I keep gettin some 'New of investments world' one which i will take out next time i get spammed from them lol
Yeah I alw get spam emails frm admin@talk...
Is it from your exact email address? or does it just appear that way? Check the email properties to be sure. Most likely it's someone using your domain (if this is what you're referring to) to send out email.
This happened to me recently. I was getting bounced emails that were apparrently sent from somemadeupname@moodykitty.com (that's an example) they can put anything in the front. This is called a 'joe job' you can do a search on google for it, there's a good article here: http://www.sitepoint.com/article/sabotage-coping-joe-job you can set up your default email address (catch all email) as :fail: so when a spammer attempts to send you spam that's not going to an actual email address then the server will reject it. hope this helps, Christine
this spammers are getting from bad to worse lately
over night i got 2 mails apparently from ME
Never give your private e-mail addres to hyip/autosurf. They send lots of spam.
Found and deleted a worm.
KB89-X86. I believe this is the little booger that was causing my problem. Happened to me 2 weeks ago. Got 100 bounces a day (only from russian servers). Then it suddenly stopped. I guess by that time my email was useless to the spammer as it proapobly was marked spam sender on every damned server in Russia. So I guess that I will not be able to use that adress if I want to get a mail thru in Russia And my puter was dead clean! They just used my adress, but it looked like it was from my mailserver. It was an adress I only used for AS and hyips, so they must have gotten it from there Now I´m just using gmail. Love it
Oh my god. The same thing is happening to me
I'm spamming myself. This is crazy |
