Full Version: Are You Still A Hit And Runner?

I might take a gamble and hit and run a program that has all the signs of a fly by night scam and that I'd be surprised if it lasted a week, but I've been staying away from those lately.

I've been shaped into that mentality, because I find myself doing it to ALL programs and I don't like it one bit, but I've been forcing myself to break that habit. I'm refusing to let myself hit and run proven admins... the admins that personally give me a higher level of confidence that they won't run.

Fess up. Since it's no longer an uncommon tactic anymore, but the norm, there's really no need to keep it veiled in secrecy. No need to be ashamed. Everyone's doing it, and because of this, I don't think it's as effective as it once was since it's only really successful if the majority of people AREN'T doing it. One thing is for sure, it's one of the major practices that has screwed up this industry.

Do you still do it? Do you do it selectively, occasionally, all the time, or not at all? Just curious how the typical investor is thinking these days.

Not being hit and runner cost me a lot of money in the past, because while I was reinvesting everyone else took off and the site would close.
Now I rarely invest in anything and when I do I don't plan to hit and run, but if I get a feeling that something isn't safe anymore I pull out after my first investment. So I might hit and run on selective basis.

For me the same, but for now i looked over some "real" investment sites and founded that all are fakes...

In selective programs. It depends of all the factors involved...

I've kinda stopped joining HYIP games now. Because ALL of them are just filled with hit and runners, whether you want to be or not, you sometimes are just forced to go in that direction in the interest of money. Unless a program hits say $10000 in the first two days, very very very few people reinvest. Yuzon was the last program i reinvested in, but they scammed anyway. I joined UMA just 10 hours after launch and still lost, because nobody reinvested, and looking at the stats just stationary there, i didnt want to either.

Planning to stick to autosurfs now. I'm reinvesting in all of them and they look pretty good .

This is exactly why programs fake stats, and how you can tell when they actually are. It's not even a guessing game. How can an admin that everyone knows like fame, for example, only take in like 6, 7, $800 in about a week, when a brand new program with an admin no one's ever heard of before take in 5, 6, $7k in the same amount of time... it's just not the pattern of the way investors spend doh.gif

But I understand why they do it, because it makes more people invest for that very reason you just stated, it creates some starnge illusion of security, even though it's an obvious sham.
Doommister
voted to some selective programs.
but I'll reduce it now, it's almost December.
UNC
Don't play much anymore but when I do it all depends on how I feel about the programs life when the first cycle ends.
irris
voted for selective programs as well...

I guess the selectives have it so far, which inevitably leads me to my next question.... what is a selective program to you as oppose to one that isn't. Maybe I'll start another thread biggrin.gif

A hyip which will work

Fake Stats
Paid Cheerleaders
New Admin
Lovely Design
Many Monitors
"invests"

...

Scams when money stops coming in

One which wont work
Proven Admin who says it's a game
Admin payouts or does what he/she says...

Then people get scammed and cry because there not enough honest Admins... but they don't support honest admins...

The fact is honesty does'nt pay in HYIP...

Good point. I think when people cry that there isn't enough honest admins, they mean there isn't enough honest admins who fit your critieria above, lol. Sorry, you guys can't have your cake and eat it too.

When you find that site that meets marc's critieras... fake stats, new admin, cool design, many monitors, claims about trading expertise, super high or even medium roi... chances are about 19 out of 20 times, you ain't dealing with an admin who's on the up and up, and when things get hairy, chances are very good that they're gonna run, or just stop paying.
