I've been using prosper.com for a few months and all the loans i've done so far are earning an average of 21% APY and the borrowers have had no defaults or late payments.

so you let people borrow your money on this site and you can charge them a high % of interest??

how are you guranteed that they will pay you and on time???

this sounds awesome because I have some funds that I would be able to lend out and make some money off it!!!

Yup as a lender on the site, i let people borrow money at high interest rates. Each loan on prosper.com is a 3 year loan. You arent guaranteed that they will pay you back and that's part of the risk of using prosper.com. When you browser through people you pay want to loan money to, you can see their credit score and DTI (debt to income ratio) which will help you decide howmuch risk you want to take. You know that people with very good credit will probably make all their payments on time because they won't want to ruin their credit score. Another thing to consider is that people with good credit don'thave to pay interest rates that are as high. I like to be a little more risky with my investments so i like to choose people that have a credit rating of C or better on prosper.com, and have a DTI of 50% or lower.

I hope I am posting this in the correct section, and further hope I am not violating any Terms and Conditions, but here goes...

I am a member of Prosper.com who is trying to get funding for a loan. In order to do so, I need to get enough bids to fund a total of $6001. I really need the money ASAP. The details are explained in my listing, and I can PM you the link.

For those of you that don't know about Prosper, it is a community in which you can lend money to borrowers at high interest rates. You can choose who to whom you'd like to lend your money.

Here's my proposal: If you sign up and bid $50 on my loan, you will get a $25 referral fee from Prosper and I will give you the $25 bonus I get for referring you. This will make your $50 totally risk free! What's more is you will get interest money (21.49% return) each time I make a payment on my Prosper Loan. I will send you my $25 fee as soon as the loan is fully-funded, so you won't have to wait.

If you would like to bid more than $50, you will still get the referral bonuses ($50), plus a 21.49% return on your investment.

If you are really gutsy and want to bid the whole $6001, I will pay you back $2,000 as soon as the loan funds and you will get monthly payments at for the rest - still with a $21.49% return on your investment.
