Buy some stock from a reliable and stable company. Which company, that's up to you. Do your research for that. If you're looking for some excitement, trade!

Bet in online investment. Nice gain with medium risk. You can visit non-hyip section to find out
on-line you can get more profit than off-line... i think so... but if you want 100% warranty for money safety, than invest off-line!
I would do 3 things.
1. Open a roth ira and put $1,000 into it and buy a mutual fund. Never too early to start saving for retirment. 2. Take $500 and put it into a high yeild savings account (ing, hsbc, emigrant) for an emergency fund. 3. Take the other $500 and invest it in some stocks or a mutual fund, after doing research on them. And I would suggest tradeking as a good, cheap broker. $4.95 per trade.
2k is a very small amount for offline investments.
Agreed with smart_i80 and thiec - put it online. Don't worry about loses. You will lose it everywhere. online or offline. I recommend you to keep this money. Buy food and beer for this money and take a rest with girls. Don't even think about investments
make some good wagers.
the 2 K will be 5k and then save them in the bank.
"2 K will be 5k"
lol after how many years?professional forex traders can even make 100% yearly but this guy doesnt even know where to invest it
I will be offering good investment opportunity (still can't find my trader) about 10% monthly income, but there are some risks of course. As if you were trading, being a professional trader... Are those risks high or low is up to you to decide i just offer. And i can offer you a REAL OFFLINE INVESTMENT WITH 100% SAFETY but the revenue will be 10% per year, so...

Erm if you can afford the time and wait, you can park your monies in unit trust and let it grow from there...You know what they say about Compound Interest/Compounding...Do pay attention to the fees involved and read the fine print
Or if you are from US, visit www.sharebuilder.com and learn how you can invest the monies
If you are intrested you can invest that money to buy a flat i mean invest in real estate.
I can find something for you
the best investment is your education.
if you want online business you should learn something like 10 steps to start online, 77 ways to get traffic, etc etc So learn something helpful for your future business or spend this money at your pleasure
Why dont you invest in the Kennel project? It's an offline investment(dog breeding at a real life kennel in the Phillipines) which is currently being promoted online by Chris and Steven from InfinityShares. However they are only supporting the project. They are not running it. The owners are willing to give you full DD information on the dogs and theirself.

I would put an ad in a small weekly paper like The Pennysaver or Merchandiser to buy Scrap Gold. You'd be amazed how cheap you can buy broken chains, old rings and other unwanted jewelry from people who need cash. Your phone will ring off the hook! Then you could keep it or sell it to the refinery for a nice profit. I would invest in commodities, especially those commodities that the Chineese and the Indians (India) are going to need more of in the future. i.e;
The consumption of oil is 14 times lower in China, and 10 times lower in India compared to the consumption in the US per capita... as for me, u can invest into jewels (i mean diamonds and gold)
QUOTE(fire cast @ Apr 5 2007, 04:36 AM) as for me, u can invest into jewels (i mean diamonds and gold) Probably not a bad choice. It all boils down to what the Chineese are likely to buy more of in the future...
you ever try cd's?
2k is not that much of an amount and I would not recommend to invest it in any sort of high-risk investment. If you have no other ideas, leave it at a high interest account, buy some bonds or invest it into a real estate fund.
with 2k u can easily make it 3k if you know how to play good bj. don't put in hyips, u will lose them eventually.

If I were you I would invest $1k in property stock (the price of property/land always goes up) and another $1k in Quantum Leap, which is insured.
Research into different companies you could invest into. Plenty of stable opportunities to make a great return.
If I was you find a product that you think that has a future and invest with them or another good thing that you can do is invest into a good site. Build it up,advertise, make business cards and expand. That's something I would invest in.
2k for investment... that's a tough one.
I'd say that 2000 is not really enough for much but if you choose and you don't mind the risk, try putting your money in stocks. Especially those penny stocks. They are the ones who will return the most if their business booms. Think about this... if they do not boom, what is it that you're gonna be losing, a few pennies (that's why they call it penny stock), if you don't invest too much. But if their business were to go BOOM, you'd be seriously rich. Like for example Yahoo, Dell and etc. They all started out low as well. If you're more daring, try the Forex Market. But please be aware that 2k ain't that much to go on with but I've heard of quite a few bigger companies giving about 8-10% profits a month for their managed services That's about all that I could think of with only 2k. If it were to be more, there will be a BIGGER window for you. But 2k is not too much and that's about all that I could think of investing in anyways. No business like ideas. Just pure nice and simple stocks!
It depends on your intentions for the money.
Current income? Long term growth? Retirement? Your risk tolerance needs to be considered. 2,000 is not much to allow diversification. Mutual funds generally are safer than stocks with smaller amounts like this. Index funds have less fees vs others. Vanguard started index funds and has are many to pick from. Starting a part time business is an option. Basically investing in yourself. There are many tax breaks involved in having a home based business in the USA.
ideas for business?
import good, UNIQUE and saleable product at a wholesale price and resell them
Buy silver bars and keep it for years
Well it has almost been a year since you made this thread so I would be interested to hear what you actually done with that 2k of yours.
I think what InvestmentC says is a good thing to do.
I think the first question should be: can you afford to lose the $2000? that will determine your risk appetite and the type of investments you can look at
is this topic started still tracking this thread ??
if yes ..... contact me for some idea !! ... pm me on yahoo messenger.
online is too risky
I'd put it in real gold with the way the dollar is going, it's going to drive the gold value up.

What would you do if you were me?? $2k isn't a lot of money, especially if you're in the US. You can invest it in some fund or in a developing country where $2k is still a big amount of money. But i would say invest it online - HYIPs isn't the only high return online investment. There are lots of marketplaces for websites where you can buy a functional money earning website for like 10-12 times monthly income. If you have some web design and marketing skills that's the way to go. I started with some small websites, grew it and now have a pretty large portfolio that's earning me thousands per month.
