yes it is very fun.

Ok what i mean is. Your profit, at the time is actually floating loss at the same time. So in reality, the profitability is quite low. One would be concerned over floating loss.

We decided to display all the curves (profit, open position, margin), so we are fully transparent.

The website explains this behavior. It is linked with the type of strategy we use. As you will see on the website, the 4 years portfolio curve has some lows, which correspond to a loading phasis (loading lots of different currencies).

As the strategy begun just few days ago, we see a low profitability, you are right. But as time passes, the profit will continue to grow, but not the margin and the floating, and the equity curve will be like the curve we display on the website.

Otherwise, why we would have proposed this strategy to public?
Just check our real results from time to time

The profit generated by this strategy is not necessarily and emotionally seducing (about 2 to 6 % monthly), compared with other systems proposed on the internet.
But it is regular, and will give satisfaction after some times.
We have invested our own money on that strategy

The floating loss is included in this curve, so, it shows the real profitability (about 4% monthly)

At first, here are some technical precisions about how our strategy works on the PAMM.

1) The strategy is contained in an expert advisor ( EA), put on the grafs of every pairs we trade in the PAMM (group of accounts).
2) The orders generated by the EA are sent to the PAMM as if it was a real account
3) a software, property of InterbankFX, named PLAMM, divides these orders into sub-orders and send them on each sub-account with a size (lot number) which fits the capital on that account.

After 15 days of perfect behavior, the PLAMM software went wrong. It began to send sub-orders as before, but with incorrect sizes, and in an unpredictable way. We noticed it last week.

After calls and Emails with IBFX, it turned out that the PLAMM can't bear the big number of positions we hold, and which is a characteristic of our strategy. We had to stop the strategy.

According to IBFX, we should have a new version of the PLAMM at the end of December. We should thus start again in the beginning of year 2007.

that's Good for you. i left them in AUG.. I like their software also but i missed couple of time good profit becaz they didn't activated my orders at the spot.. which was not afford able for me. because i m much conservative about entery point and select few trades on monthly bases. so if i do miss those entries so i missed my monthly earning.. that's why i left them.. anyways.. hope IBFX will come back on line soon...

PAMM version 2007 : will soon restart with 3 main changes

Good holidays and happy new year
Here are some news of our activities.
The positions still opened before stopping the strategy (November 23th ) were all closed with profit, as wants our strategy.

Afterward, we continued a discretionary trading (still martingale based), by waiting for the IBFX PLAMM update (see post higher). The profit generated since November 1st is about 4.05 %.

In parallel, we led some reflections on the adopted strategy, which are going to lead to three major modifications of our PAMM management.

1) Portfolio modification
At present, the strategy runs on 19 graphs, in both directions (long and short). That makes 38 strategies and sometimes gives for the PAMM (grouping of accounts) hundreds of orders in the market. And each one of these main orders gives as many sub-orders as there are sub-accounts.

The IBFX PLAMM software, which distributes those orders between sub-accounts, cannot support such a huge number, and starting from a certain quantity, to have an erratic behaviour.
Even if the new PLAMM version (scheduled during January 2007 according to IBFX, but it is not certain) corrects the problem, we prefer to decrease the number of currencies on which we launch the strategy.
We also take the opportunity:
a) to choose a portfolio
* with least correlated currencies, so as to decrease the simultaneous risks of trends
* traded in the direction where their swap (daily interest) is positive, as much as possible
b) and to modify some internal parameters of the strategies

The number of launched strategies will be 14 instead of 38 and the monthly profit should be around 5-10%, based on a 6500 usd non compounded capital (6% on the last part of the curve)

2) Modification of the minimum amount to open
- a mini PAMM : 6.5 kUSD (approximately 5000 euros)
- a standardi PAMM : 65 kUSD

3) Complementary strategy
Most of the time the margin demanded by the strategy is very low compared to the capital (about 1 to 3%).

However this important capital is vital, but only when the strategy is engaged in a powerful trend. That rarely happens.
That corresponds on the backtest equity curve (over 51 months), with the down peaks of important size (more than 2000 USD for example, for a capital of 6500 USD).
There is 15-20 of them, that is to say one every approximately three months.
The rest of the time, the large capital is not used.
We thus decided to set up on the PAMM, during the "calm periods" of the main strategy, a more conventional trading in parallel, which keeps its positions little time (one day at maximum) and which can be thus stopped quickly when the main strategy demands its margin.
This added trading will be run with low leverage, on an automatic mode (with the help of one of our backtested strategies) or discretionary (trading on news), and should bring us some more profit.

Some news.

We are still waiting for the new PLAMM (IBFX software that dispatches orders beetween the sub-accounts). It should be released late March.

For now, we do run the strategy, but on few graphs only, in order to not saturate the old PLAMM. We don't display the results on the website.

Here is an IBFX message (from today):
"The new pamm will hopefully be released in beta mode in late March, the debit visa is also expected to be offered internationally around the same time."

One other thing
They are many people that subscript to our forum, with strange names and Emails, may be just to post their link somewhere.
From now, each people being willing to subscript our forum would have to send an Email (info@nanoforex.fr), with the login they will use, and their motivation (few words are enough).

Here are some news.
So, our strategy will have only run for 3 weeks, in december 2006.
Since 5 months, we wait for the updated PLAMM software, which dispatches the orders beetween the sub-accounts.
It had a bug when the number of orders was above around 150.
InterbankFX is currently testing the new version, but we couldn't get any released date.
So we have modified the strategy so that it gives less orders than before, and the old PLAMM can bear it.
We will start again the strategy in few days. Real results will be posted each evening.

Also, many people, not interested at all in our activity, were subscripting our forum each day.
We have closed it. Everything is on the web site now.

We also stopped the "SD tool" service, as we are too busy with our trading researches and PAMM management.
