hey guys, there has been talk of Blocked e-gold accounts on the other forums

they can't spend or receive and a growing number of ppl been hit by this so called ''plague''

anyone got hit?

i was blocked by this plague for no reason. their support cannot make it. i emailed them and even called them. response very slow then no more news from them. even u call them, they will tell to you to email them regarding the block rather than fixing the problem on the spot, wah i can say is, if ur account is been blocked. you can gif up hope on recovering ur account.

that is why it is better not to have so much money in egold.

So what should we do ?

covert to cash or reinvest immediately.

Another way is to have more than 1 e-gold account and try not to keep all your money in just 1 account

i recieved a email frm this guy who said he can help to get the money out of blocked accounts im not sure if he is real or not

wah u can do is to create another egold account , then change the option to accept fund from blocked account then faster convert the egold to $$$$.

Don't trust anyone except when you know that person personally. Remember e-gold transfer is not reversible.

Yeap. Receiving money from a blocked account is akin to receiving a plague. Once infected with money from a blocked account, your account is also blocked. I think E-Gold is stepping up its security measures due to Government pressure. Blocking of E-Gold accounts were rare occurences last time, but after the investigations of online e-currencies (EMOCorp, StormPay, etc) started, they've implemented stricter measures to ensure that the money in your account is legal (not from some child-pornography site, scam or something).

Make sure all the information in your account information is correct. And don't receive money from dubious accounts. They can't be blocking accounts randomly..

Like what wadafark say, if possible give real info on your contact and account info for EGold. I know of people whose account kena block because they give fake info.
