I have this same problem. I use the surf bars that do pretty well but not like I need it to. I sell gifts (see sig.) and need QUALITY traffic to the site. I make a great commission but not if I can't get people there. I can't afford to buy advertising till I'm in good profit with them and I can't get in good profit without the advertsing. I feel most times like a dog chasing his tail. lol There are people on this forum who make lots of money each year selling. Lets hear from them.... what is your most effective source of advertising???

Ok I found hits2u and they offer FREE advertising and IF you are also in GDI they will promote that for you also. See my sig. for a link if you need it. So far I'm getting some pretty good hits from them.

You must make sure that you've listed your website on most free web directories. Ther are hundreds of such directories online. This will also gear more traffic to your site.

The most effective results you will always get from email advertising.

In order to properly answer that question, we will need to know what exactly you are advertising. Each market and venue on the internet can be effectively promoted in a different way. Some markets work better in PPC than others..... some markets are best in SEO efforts.... were you looking to advertise in PPC or through ezines, etc...
