I really want to learn how to trade stocks to try to make a little extra income. I have some money in the bank that just isn't gaining enough interest so I'm currently looking for all available options for me to invest.

I'm looking for a program that can simulate trading. I know I could just get paper and pencil and pretend i'm buying and selling stock and see how I do, but what about all the fee's, the time lapse, and everything else chaotic that goes in the market. I'm not going to be infront of my computer all day as I have a steady job, so I'm thinking of buying and selling stocks at the end of the day or holding on to them for weeks at a time.

I'm new to all this so my mentality of the stock market could be flawed and maybe I would just be better off with the bank, but I would like to see my options.

So what programs are there that simulate trading?

I use optionsxpress and they have a virtual trading that keeps track of everything you need. I've been really happy with it, and I've been using it for a good number of months now... so check it out.. you'll like it.
