I have seen so many spammers for topic starter.

I suggest only upgraded member or the posts exceed > 200 only can start the topic.

Tired seeing spammers and scammers

I think if you need 200 posts to start a topic, there will be more spams.
People will spam the forum with useless posts to get 200 posts and members will 200 posts will offer a price to start a topic for program admin and it will be really messy.

But they are so many people simply create new ID and post a new topic, and there are a lot of scam by using such method, and spams too.
And if they spam to get 200 topics, you can direct ban them.
We can see how "hardworking" those scammers and spammers be...

200 posts are too much, perhaps the same number of posts to start sending pms?

200 posts will bring new problems like Global*Money said. It is impossible to stop spam. But may be to reduce it.
But I may say that there is no so much spam in MMG. If mods delete and block spamers like they do, spam is something that we can survive

I hear you brother, being a mod on another forum that offers an incentive once they get to 100 posts. Perhaps you could make it 200+ posts and also having been here for at least 2 months before being able to post new topics in certain sections?

I would say, it's impossible to stop spam because there is a monetary reward for it.

As for the monitor spam of the "Waiting for admin..." posts...report those. Send a report for the posts that you see, the monitors and admins will take action on these sorts of posts as it's against the rules to make these posts.

#16 Do not make 1-3 word posts such as "looking" and "i'm in!" are considered spam and unacceptible. They do not contribute to the community at all and are a waste of space.


As for setting a post count to create a thread, I don't think it's the way to go. It might initially stall a couple people from creating threads, but you would open it up to more and more spamming by members trying to get their post count up.

I made a suggestion a while back by having people have to be upgraded members to create a thread. Usually people who create threads in the HYIP or MLM section are doing so for monetary gain by gaining referrals under their referral link. You would have a fewer number of people willing to risk their upgraded membership that they purchased to spam the forum. Even if they did so, it would at least give the forum some funds for their spamming.

You can never say who is going to scam next. Spammers can become scammers but not all scammers are spammers. Get it?
