Then people would just have a lifetime supporter buy all their ads. =\
Well couldn't it benefit both parties?
Eh, scammers won't be hanging around long enough to make due of the Lifetime Fee anyways.. And makes things a little cheaper for the honest members QUOTE(UNC @ Oct 3 2006, 04:24 AM) Well couldn't it benefit both parties? Look like a good idea.
I dont think basing advertising prices on the usergroups would be good because as radmax said, all the advertisers would just upgrade to the lifetime supporter group just to advertise and we wouldn't want that. I only want people who actually like MMG and want to support MMG to be lifetime supporters

I however tend to lean more towards UNCs point in such a way that there can be a certain percentage that will not bring about the interest of scammers that stay for one more or two and then leave. You could also have another limit that you have to be a full time member and a regular member for half a year or something. There are many ways to skin a cat and the least obstructed way is always the preffered choice. Anyone planning on ordering more than $2500 in ads (fairly common) would be better off upgrading their account to lifetime supporter status. Ryan yep maybe make it you have to be a member for a long time for the discount..most longtime members who i know that have and are running honest programs could use a break on the price.. Well at least the poor ones like us sure could use a break Why not do like mentioned and only long time members/supporters? How about the members that reach 6 months or older?... sure we helped build this forum
We did convert the 2 week ads into 1 week ads and cut the price in half
An advertising discount based on the age of an account is interesting. We'll have to talk about that and see if there's a good way to do it.
I think that there is also another risk, if you make disccounts in function of the members account age. You can encourage people to sell their accounts or to buy advertising for other people and gain some commissions from this.
You should give also a limit something, that each veteran has a disccount for a single banner in a 6 months interval, or something like that. Just my opinion. |
