There's at least a couple free and open-source shopping carts out there...usually, when you purchase hosting for your website, the hosts will have 1-click installs for a shopping cart and forum and CMS, so it's pretty easy for someone to open up their own online shop. From there, you just need to find your e-currencies that you'll accept.
