QUOTE Watch out for "reload" scams
Monday, August 20, 2012 Reload scams hit consumers when they’re down, offering to help them make back money they lost to a previous scam or bad business decision. These scams have been popular for years with telemarketing fraud rings but can also follow other types of fraud. We’re now seeing reload scams seeking to recruit consumers who were members of Zeekler, a penny auction website headquartered in North Carolina that shut its doors last week and entered into a settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC determined that Zeekler was a Ponzi scheme, using money from later investors to pay back earlier investors until the scheme started running out of money. The Attorney General’s Office is continuing to investigate Zeekler. Blogs, news releases online, and individuals leaving comments in articles about the Zeekler shut down are already touting opportunities “for those that are looking for something that can help them replace the income they were receiving from Zeek Rewards.” If you’ve been a part of a scheme such as Zeekler that collapsed, or if you lost money to another recent scam, don’t fall for a reload scam. Better to cut your losses than lose even more. http://www.ncdoj.gov/News-and-Alerts/Alert...oad--scams.aspx

QUOTE (ronm69 @ Aug 21 2012, 12:00 AM) I would read the full 34 page report done by Len Clements just below Troy Dooly's video. http://mlmhelpdesk.com/zeek-rewards-victim...t/#.UDMHXqCyZ-wAnd as someone posted earlier, I don't believe you need an attorney to receive any losses from the assigned receiver. Maybe someone with more knowledge on that can chime in. I would hate for someone to pad the pockets of an attorney that is representing a zeek copy cat business model. As far as the 34 page report by Len Clements, I am not familiar with him, but his analysis is the most comprehensive one i have seen since this whole mess started. It doesn't sound like it came from a critic but someone that genuinely wanted to get to the bottom of this. It's easy for critics who never try anything to sit on the sidelines and scream because they have never put themselves out there to try and do better for themselves and their families. They think the only solution is to punch a clock for a living. As you will see if you take the time to read the full 34 pages, that far more knowledgeable and financially successful people than a lot of us got caught up in this thing too. I still don't think we have heard the last of this story but this is a start toward the end. Very well stated ronm69. I skimmed through Len's documentation (34 pages) and I was amazed at his overall analysis.

QUOTE (mikeb916 @ Aug 21 2012, 03:51 AM) I seen that too. I wonder though what happens if you made a little profit? I am still owed around 300$. nxpay has frozen 132$ I am owed. The rest was due 08/27. I feel all the time and effort a lot of us put in is owed money. How do people that made more than they put in money wise, go about reparations. Thanks for your thoughts. Seriously??? I certainly wouldn't spend any of it, and hopefully for your sake, they won't ask for it back. I'm pretty sure the receiver is more concerned with paying the people whose money you profited from before paying you for your "time and effort."
