We all know Twitter can be a useful way to get yourself out there. I have only recently joined this phenomenon and I am eager to get as many followers as possible. Anyone know how this can be done?

Quality posts & interacting with tweeters is still the best way to get twitter followers. The softwares that give you automatic followers do not build any relationship with followers.

I agree with you that the software do not build relationship but the software can be set by us to make auto tweet.

I am still pretty new to Twitter. I think that posting high quality tweets, posting often (but not too often), posting your links with comments as well as other tweets, and using hashtags, retweets, and other popular aspects of Twitter can help you grow your following.

Another method is to follow others hoping that they will follow you. However, it's easy to end up following a lot of people you aren't interested in this way.

You should also add follow buttons and your Twitter name to all of your profiles and on your website(s).

I am s_b_s_o_b (for step-by-step online business) and am working on posting business related tweets for anyone interested in following me on Twitter.

Why do you need or want twitter? For personal usage? cool! As part of a business plan? Without sounding too harsh? Don't bother to give advice on how to build a twitter following if you have less than 1000 followers. Plus it's better to have a handful very good networkers, than 1000 online friends, followers, etc. Which is why I don't have twitter, so I can spend more time with friends and family to build real relationships. Actually ... the people who do have or want large crows of followers for traffic generation purposes? Outsource it
