I use kompozer for my main websites - ones I make money from or list builders - and Blogger for the rest. Reason for blogger is its so simple and ranks well great for backlink building and fast article posts.

I have free hosting through a membership site I use as well as a host of templates and products too use - save'd me a lot of time building sites from scratch. Check the 1st link in my Sig for details on the site.

I recommend Site Build It! It's a self-paced Internet learning course that teaches you everything from the bottom up. It includes everything you need to build a successful ebusiness. Meaning the site builder itself, web hosting, SEO training, community building training, how to get traffic to your site, how to build your site to get free search engine traffic, and all the tools needed to expand your business. All in one place. All explained with help and support. There's nothing out there like it!

Yea, even though I've never used it "Site Build It!" does appear to one of the best out there. I know they've been around for a long time.

Thanks,
Russell

Does anybody know the best place to make your own website? I looked around and found that BlueVoda is good for beginners. If anybody has any better places or programs that would be great thanks!

Have you tried a free web editor like Kompozer? You can visit kompozer.net...It's easy to use especially for beginner. You can avail also a PDF (free)...a tutorial on how to make a One-Page Website using kompozer on this link http://websitecreationreviewed.com/. Don't worry it's Free and from there you can download your Free PDF tutorial using kompozer.

Also, I'm using a site builder for my 200,000 PLR. I bought it for $27...I like this site builder because I'm tired of making blogs which so stressful posting articles daily on my blogs. With site builder I've eliminated that stressful job. Two of the sites I've created on Forex and Student Loan niches using the site builder are in my signature below.

First thing first, learn some basic HTML and Javascript. Not Java. It's different. If you want to create advance website, learn PHP and MySQl. But if you are not hardworking enough to study these things, you can just search for web template and edit it using software such as MS Frontpage. Most of them are not free.

or better go to http://contentedlymaladaptive.com/topics/b...ur-own-website/

most of the paid webhosting or in fact, all of them do have fantastico available for webmaster to install, its easy with a click and wordpress is installed, or popular forums like phpbb, smf, or joomla etc. if you prefer to go for free first, get a free domain such as co.cc and using blogger to create a blog.

but preferably your own paid website and efforts will pay off better than free.
for programming you can check out w3schools as well

If you want to learn how to build sites, and how tto write in HTML and get down to the nitty gritty of things, then Def use Dreamweaver. If not, then just get a template and go tempy crazy wink.gif
Blogger is good, and so is Kompozer, But none have the technical detail that you can find in DW

You can use any text editor that meet to make a website. But with the support of programs such as Adobe Master Collection CS4 or PHPDesigner ..... then your work will be softer.
If you are not aware programming is better you should get familiar with open source. They are free to share together with instructions for use on forums and message of your work just download and study and may participate in exchanges with members on to the forums.
Wish you success!.

Really need to stay away from "free" hosting providers... most of them put advertising on your website.
Go with a paid hosting provider. One with a good web site builder for you to use.
Check out my company. We're affordable and provide a great service. Our web site builder is top of the line and very easy to use.

I second that! Also if you are just absolutely beginning, and just want to test the waters to get a feel for making websites/blogs -- you can try free sites the Googlesites and Blogger until you're ready to go Pro!
