I'm in the process of building an online market place for selling and buying websites. It should be completed soon. I can post here when it's in a suitable beta version. It will be free for buyers but I plan to charge a small fee for sellers to list. I will not take a commission, ever.

Do you mean a newbie at coding websites? I think it's more about confidence than skill, as you can always research for ideas on code and basically learn a lot from many many forums out there. However, I do recommend writing sites to Standards as this will help sell your site. The main thing is time to improve your skills, but trust me in the end it is worth it.

Like anything, give it a try and see where it gets you!

I have heard of people buying expired domains from godaddy and then selling them for a boat load of cash just for the traffic that domain has.

do you think one would get any practice for this by doing some 'lens flipping' at squidoo first? I mean - not all of us know everything about websites - but a lot of people are claiming squidoo lenses have many of the bells and whistles that you can put on websites. Just a thought. Maybe someone who has actually sold a lens or two can reply

I don't think there's enough market to which to sell the squidoo lens.
