How To Speed Up Bitcomet?

I'm using it, and I like it...
however, my download speeds only tops on 40KB/s, and when I download files on the net I usually get 200KB/s, which is a considerable difference.
My problem is that my upload speed is very low, I can top it to 30KB/s... So maybe that's the problem.
Any ideas of how I can speed up my download speed?
Or download another client, maybe? (HATE azureus, bad experience with it)
I'm dling a huge file now, so any help would be apreciated
