I love your article, although I like them both. I find that Twitter is a very good way to not only chat with your friends and associates but to make massive money.

QUOTE (sunymoney @ Sep 21 2010, 08:13 AM) An informative article in today’s eMarketer shows that Twitter followers are more likely to induce advocacy and future purchases than those on Facebook.According to their data, 37% of respondents were more likely to purchase from a brand after following them on Twitter as opposed to only 17% of those that “like” a brand on Facebook.
It is absolutely not surprising , and I ascertain one fact and the reason is simple: Twitter is a unique yet powerful platform that has a capability to attract an audience receptive to marketing messages much more than Facebook.
A great quote that I wish I could say I came up with at this point in time is something like this: “Facebook is for the people you know while Twitter is for those you desire or wish to know.”
Facebook is not a good platform for delivering news and other marketing stuff. The default front page view does not show a user every post from all of those in their network but rather an abbreviated feed that Facebook feels is most relevant to them.
Secondly, the function of setting up lists, which are an excellent way to segment content on Facebook and could provide value in the service as a news aggregator, is highly underused and is some thing that makes an online marketer feel itchy .
This is not to say that Facebook should be neglected, because there’s definitely value in reaching a large audience with marketing information. Social media is a quality versus quantity play and nowhere is it more apparent for brands than on Twitter I like the less clutter, I think having chat and games has saved facebook from losing it's stronghold on social media, but twitter is right up there with them.

QUOTE (klasa @ Sep 22 2010, 08:31 PM) For me Twitter is better. You only have to use few charaters to show to the world what you want to say. And it is less confusing thean facebook. Not sure which one I like best. Still working to see how much response I get for my business.

QUOTE (CrownDemon @ Sep 21 2010, 08:40 PM) What's the most differential when we use twitter that facebook? I thought that those are same, like; posting status, comment, but twitter has follow me... I use both to help drive traffic to my website with so so results. I do advertise though on Facebook, and for my markets mostly moms and brides to be, the narrow demographic choice works well and I get quite a few sales that way. My big issue is competing with the bigger sites to get noticed.

I think both are useful in their own ways. Facebook is better in connecting with people while twitter is better for promotions of business.

I believe Facebook will alienate a ton users because of privacy issues. Twitter seems to be much more user friendly; not to mention tweets are brief and to the point. Compelling text ads will more often than not motivates action.

Why I use Twitter over facebook because, I can able to send my tweets in form of message to all brand owners, So, I can communicate to big names very easily there, and one more thing that some companies have opened their chat support on twitter, to increase their sales, like TemplateMonster, We can quickly able read the word of mouth of big celebrities, big company, etc. etc.
But why I like facebook because of information sharing very good way of social gathering, but on the business point facebook fan pages can attract sales, this is why many peoples on facebook are really passionate about increasing their fan page likes.
