The answer to this question depends greatly on your trading style, trading capital, experience, etc.

MT4 or MetaTrader 4 is a very popular platform however it does have it's limitations. More important than finding the best platform when starting out is finding a broker with tight spreads and competent customer service.

I have heard that eToro is very user friendly but I wouldn't necessarily call that trading. it is more like spread betting or gambling as their "platform" is not designed to analyze charts or price, it is more attuned to newbies or gamblers as it is graphical in nature.

I've found good explanation how to select the right metatrader 4 brokerage firm. I think, this info would be interesting for all forex traders. I use scalping strategies and I had to change a lot of brokers before I found this information. See iticsoftware or BJF Trading Group

MT4 is short for Metatrader 4, and is a platform used by many leading forex brokerages and banks.

You can download a demo of MT4 with my company at www.FXOpenMexico.com.

If you need help let me know.

Hey korki4! Mt4 is the choice for all the professionals and beginners due to its features and advantages. To get a hands on experience with the software, try WSD's free demo account. You can also get expert advise while you are trading on their platform.

If you have any doubts regarding their software, feel free to post me.Happy learning!

If you are interested in MT4, you need to try FXCM. They are publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

Java platform that is compatible with Macs.

I think the answer should be MT4 trading platform.

Of course, we know, no matter this platform most popular or not, you should choose a suitable one for your trading style.
And the more important than choosing a popular trading platform is to choose a suitable and reliable forex broker.
I can recommend you to go to 100forexbrokers to find a suitable one.
And if you are a forex beginner, I recommend you to try Profiforex.
Their services are suitable for forex beginners.

I also prefer MT4 right now. I find it really convenient to use. It's a user-friendly platform. I would still want to stick with this 'til I start trading for real.
