Hey all,

I'm thinking, for all posts which are approximately 3-4 years old (in original posting date) where a person has already answered the origial question, the activity is less than say 1-2 pages long, and there has been no further responses for at least 3 months, are we as members able to click a button which says 'Report as Old Thread' ?

Then an automated message gets sent to the Admin, notifying them of a potential thread which needs to be closed. Admin can then post a question in the thread, and if no one responds within say 1-2 weeks, or a month, then the thread be closed?

This could reduce some unnecessary storage/hosting space for MMG, thereby making it (very slightly) cheaper?

What do you all think?

Cheers,
Adrian

I would like to add to this by suggesting that if a Topic is moved to the Inactive storage that someone else is able to start it back up. Personal opinion is if the person that started it does not maintain it...than someone else should be given the chance. I understand that some programs DIE...but some revamp and come back to life and those that let their thread go should be the ones that cannot re-post it.
