On Monday, September 3, 2012, we successfully launched the majority of our Publisher Platform. We also published additional changes to the design and layout of the site. While there were a few more noticeable changes members could see with their eyes, the majority of the changes were still back-end upgrades. We are continuing to enhance our database capabilities, server capabilities, internal software, and other necessary components. The current completion rates for version 1.0 of our basic system are as follows:
Dashboard Systems: 70% Cause Platform: 90% Publisher Platform: 80% Advertiser Platform: 40% Transactions Systems: 70% Database Frameworks: 70% Design and Markup: 80% Other Necessary Tasks: 75%
The level of thought, preparation, and development energy that is being poured into this project amazes me. The level of patience and persistence from our members humbles me. This is an incredibly complex system we are creating together. Over the past few years, thousands of loyal TagTraders have been supplying data that is imperative to our success. Brilliant mathematicians, creative thinkers, and programmers have been assessing this data and using it to mold and shape a system that will be second to none. I want to personally thank every individual who has participated. Without you, we would never finish this project.
So, how close are we really?
I can say with confidence that the next several weeks will be filled with increasingly noticeable changes. The majority of backend development is complete. We are rapidly shifting gears. Our energy is more and more concentrated on connecting the backend framework with the front-end web interface. We plan to push chunks of noticeable changes to the site each week. Each time we publish changes we will collect and assess data and monitor exceptions. We will enhance and support the existing features and continue pushing additional features, modifications, and enhancements until the entire system is complete.
As you can see, more and more of the aspects of our site are nearing completion. Based upon the percentages quoted above, the overall completion rate for version 1.0 of our basic system is now 71.88% complete. However, things will appear to move faster over the next several weeks. The first 50-60% of our project was mostly backend work. So, even though we were progressing along at a very good pace, the members rarely saw any changes. The remaining 30% is predominately made up of website integration. Therefore, change will be increasingly obvious. As we complete the remaining 30% of our project the site will become more useful. More and more features will begin to emerge and very soon Causes, Publishers, Advertisers, and TagTraders will be conducting their various activities seamlessly.
I am fairly confident that the updates we published to the site on Monday, September 3, 2012 are the last ones that will be primarily behind the scenes changes. From now on, I anticipate more and more of our updates to reveal obvious and useful features. On September 3 we uploaded a HUGE amount of code and other upgrades, even though it may not have appeared as such to the average member.
So what was published to the site on September 3rd?
Three major upgrades were released to our live servers on September 3rd. First, we released the basic framework for our new Dashboards system. Second, we released the basic framework for our Publisher Platform. And finally, we made major server and database architectural improvements.
In order to allow the various different platforms to ‘fit’ into our website, we chose to migrate from a single BackOffice design to a multi-layered Dashboard design. We need to ensure the site is easy to navigate and comprehend when all the platforms are live. We must ensure a member can quickly and easily find the tools they need when they desire to perform a certain task.
Every member is a TagTrader. Therefore, we made the TagTrader Dashboard the default dashboard. Some members will expand their profiles by adding one or more of the Cause, Publisher, and Advertiser profiles to their account. Each of these types of members needs to quickly and easily manage their accounts. Publishers need to be able to create and manage Resources efficiently. Advertisers need to be able to create Campaigns and Ads, or bid on keywords easily. Publishers need to be able to choose Causes to support or approve advertisements quickly. Causes need to be able to update their profiles and see donation and publicity data without difficulty. There are very many different features and tools among the various platforms. It is extremely difficult to organize them into a system that makes sense and is easy to use. Therefore, we put a lot of time and energy into our multi-layered dashboard system. The basic framework of this system is now in place on the site.
On September 3rd we published about 80% of the Publisher Platform. Publishers can now add a publisher profile to their account. They can create Resources and created Positions within their Resources.
Resources are collections of ad widgets that target the same list of Tags. Publishers should approach Resources much the same as Advertisers approach Campaigns. A Resource can be an entire website, a segment of a website, or even a single page. Say for example a publisher has a website with four primary segments: local news, local shopping, local entertainment, and local attractions. They could create a different resource for each segment of their site. Each resource could have a different Tag list. In this manner, different ads targeting different Tags will appear in the various segments.
Locations are the physical regions of their pages where the actual ads will be displayed. Publishers should approach Locations in much the same manner as they approach “widgets” on other advertising platforms. For example, a publisher may want to have 3 ad segments on their pages. They want a large banner across the top, a tall banner on the right column, and a block with 3 ads on the left column. They can add as many Locations to each Resource as they desire.
At this time, we are collecting initial data for Causes and Publishers in our system. Causes can build their profiles and apply for approval. Publishers can establish their publishing profiles, create Resources and add Locations to their Resources.
Very soon, we will add the ability to search for Causes using the ‘/cause’ hashtag. Visitors to our site will be able to view the public profiles for every cause in our network. More importantly, we will also add the ability for Publishers to select a Cause and attach it to a Resource. Each Resource will be able to support a different Cause. When a Cause is attached to a Resource, 10% of every dollar of advertising revenue generated through the Locations in that Resource will be donated directly to the specific Cause attached to the Resource. So, if a Publisher has a favorite local, regional, or global Cause, they can ensure that 10% of every advertising dollar generated through a Resource on their website is given to a Cause. Not only that, the Cause will be highlighted on each Location in that Resource giving the Cause much needed FREE publicity.
I try not to bore our members with specific details regarding database and server upgrades. However, I want you to understand that we have been making exhaustive enhancements to our backend services. It is a major undertaking to build a system robust and complex enough to manage advertising, publishing, tag trading, and cause support. It requires a well-planned, well-executed database and server architecture. For the past 18 months, we have been focusing most of our development energy on this framework. Without a solid core, our entire system will fail. The most important part of tagvillage is the ‘brains’ and ‘guts’ of the network. Without extensive database structure, search technology, and server infrastructure, we simply cannot deliver a world-class product.
We published major upgrades in all areas of our backend services on September 3rd. Our servers were enhanced and modified in preparation for moderate to rapid scaling. Our search and page serving technologies were modified and enhanced. We made major NoSQL , PostGRE, and other database modifications and enhancements. Hundreds of man hours were poured into the ‘foundation, walls, and roof’ that were published on our servers on September 3rd. Now, we can begin to add the ‘paint, and decorations’.
We are focused and dedicated. Our developers are working around the clock. I personally have averaged over 16 hours per day for nearly 2months straight. We are entering the final stages. We should see more and more aspects of our project hitting 90%, 95%, and 100% completion.
We anticipate the tagvillage community will change rapidly over the next few months. The membership will increasingly shift from being primarily made up of TagTraders to being a melting-pot of Publishers, Advertisers, Causes, and TagTraders. Therefore, you will notice obvious changes geared toward this anticipated climate. The time is fast approaching when TagTrading is just one aspect of a greater picture. It is our goal to foster a neutral environment where Publishers, Advertisers, Causes, and TagTraders are equally supported and equally promoted. In keeping with this strategy, we chose to remove the Tag Gold Mine and a few other items we felt were too heavily focused on TagTrading incentives.
A while back I used the analogy of a car at the end of a long tunnel, but out of gas. We are all in the car together. We are at the very end of the tunnel. We can see the exit. Several people are pushing and the car is starting to roll toward the light. We sent a small team out ahead to find gas. They have now returned and we are putting the gas into the tank. Get ready! Very soon we will be starting the engine and roaring out of the tunnel. It won’t be long now until that long, tedious, tiresome journey through the development tunnel is a distant, fading memory. The future is upon us. What will you make of it?

At last I found the Tagvillage thread here. I am really excited after being with TV for two years to see the dream come to fruition. I am happy I have been an active trader for the last two years and secured quite a large number of seats for the bonus pool. Now we are working with my Biz partner on creating niche sites so we can be publishers as well in TV and increase our revenues and I am sure I will be advertising as well in TV.

September 2012 Development Updates Published: Sept. 20, 2012
We have been continuing to release updates and publish new features to the site over the past few weeks. There are a few current glitches we are working to resolve and several changes we want you to be aware of.
Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Guidelines We have posted changes to the Terms of Service, Privacy, and all rules and guidelines that govern every aspect of tagvillage. We urge you to click the “Terms & Privacy” link at the bottom of any page and read all pages that apply to you. If you do not agree with, or do not accept any of the modifications we ask that you do not continue to use our services. The changes will become effective as of September 25, 2012.
FAQ Pages We have posted changes to many of the FAQ items. We will continue to add FAQ items over the next few weeks. We still plan to add FAQ sections for Publishers, Advertisers, and Causes.
Homepage Animations We have added videos (Tammy’s Story, Al’s Story, Gary’s Story, TagTrader Story) to the homepage. Our goal is to quickly introduce the concept of tagvillage to new visitors by telling the same story through four different perspectives (Publisher, Advertiser, Cause, TagTrader). We will implement new pages soon for each category of member to allow people to learn all about tagvillage in much more detail.
Publisher Platform Changes
We added the ability for Publishers to upload and manage images for their Resources. Publishers can upload screenshots of their Resources or Logos to help attract potential Advertisers.
NOTE: There is a glitch in our image management software that we are aware of and working to resolve. Currently the system is accepting images, but it is not retrieving or displaying them properly. It is a problem related to the architecture of our server cloud clusters. We anticipate this issue to be resolved early next week.
We added the ability for Publishers to attach Causes to their Resources. In order to support a Cause, a Publisher can click the “Support this Cause” button that will appear on every Cause Profile page. To find Cause Profile pages, follow the directions described below for Cause HashTag Search.
Cause Platform Changes
We added the ability for Causes to manage and edit their public Profile pages. Causes can upload images and detailed descriptions to their profile. These details will be visible to all members who view their pages by searching for them in the Cause HashTag Search (as described below).

If you are a Publisher, you will see a special “Support this Cause” button on the profile page. When you click this button, you are given a list of your Resources and you can attach the Cause to your Resources. Once attached to the Resources, all ad revenue produced will be donated to the Cause you are supporting.
Publisher Hash Tag Search & Public Profiles Members may now search for Publishers and view their Resources and Positions using the Publisher HashTag Search engine. In order to search for Publishers, you simply enter a Tag followed by /publisher into the search bar. The denotation of /publisher tells our search engine to produce results of Publishers who are related to the Tag you entered. At this time you may view all publisher Resources and Positions. Very soon, Advertisers will be able to bid on advertising space directly for each Position.
Founders Profit Sharing Pool Closing We will NOT continue to award seats in the Founders Profit Sharing Pool after September 30, 2012, even if we do not award all 5,000 of the 1st Level Seats. Members who have seats in the pool, or are attempting to qualify in September will really want to have as many as possible by September 30th. Why? Because we plan to announce a MAJOR OPPORTUNITY for everyone who has a seat to earn an ADDITIONAL YEAR of profit sharing for each seat! Yes, you read that correct. Everyone who has seats in the pool will have the opportunity to extend the profit sharing period to 2 full years! This extension opportunity will ONLY be available in October. This could be a major opportunity because we anticipate advertising revenue to grow more in the second year than the first year.
Withdrawal Limits Increasing As of October 1, 2012, the Withdrawal Limit will increase to $35.00 for withdrawals requested during October 2012. We will revisit the Withdrawal Limit each month and adjust it as necessary. It is our goal to expand the Withdrawal Limit to a point that allows our members to receive adequate compensation, yet protect the company from fraud and theft. We will announce future adjustments as they are implemented.
Marketing and Advertising Anticipation
We plan to launch a full-scale marketing effort to attract Causes and Publishers beginning on October 1, 2012. We will provide our members with email templates, linking codes, and special images to help with this effort. It is critical that we reach out to as many Causes as we can beginning October 1, 2012. We will have everything in place for them, and we want to begin aggressively announcing tagvillage to the Cause world. We would really like our members to help us with this effort.
How can you help? Please gather a list of local churches, charities and other Causes you can contact directly. Gather their email addresses, phone numbers, and contact names. When we release the email templates and other announcement materials, please help us get them to the local organizations in your area. It is CRITICAL that we reach as many Causes as we can from October 1 through October 15, 2012. However, please DO NOT reach out to them before we are ready.
On October 15th, we plan to aggressively reach out to Publishers. We will provide email templates, linking codes, and special images to help with this effort. BEFORE we start reaching out to Publishers, we need to have as many Causes registered as possible. It will hurt our efforts if Publishers create Resources but they cannot find Causes to support. This is why we will wait until October 15th to begin our efforts to reach Publishers. However, we may delay this effort if we feel there are insufficient Causes registered. Therefore, we URGE you to help us announce tagvillage to as many Causes as possible after October 1st.
We have a very good plan for building this business. We all want this to be successful and rewarding. It is our goal to empower you with a solid, sustainable opportunity. However, if we expect to see long-lasting results, we all need to work together. We need to attack each of the next several stages as hard as we can. We need every single member working aggressively during each of the next few stages. We will announce each stage and the tasks we need completed. The first stage is coming up. The Fine Print

The Earnings Period will begin on the 1st day of the month following the month in which our first year of profit sharing is completed. Duration of Earnings Period

Each month, upon commencement of the Extended Earnings Period, tagvillage will deposit 20% of tagvillage’s Advertising Sales Profits into the Profit Pool. The amount shall equal exactly 20% of the profits earned by tagvillage, inc. from advertising sales during the same calendar month. Extended Profit Pool Monthly Distribution
Upon the 1st day of the month following a month in which a deposit was made into the Profit Pool, tagvillage will divide the sum of the deposit by the number of seats in the pool. The playbook is out showing the future direction, goals and milestones for tagvillage. This marks the change from development stage to the start of marketing stage. Here is part of it. ObjectivesWe have three primary membership objectives we hope to achieve during the last quarter of 2012. Each of these objectives is a milestone that must be reached before we can move forward. If we work together and achieve each objective, the result will be a solid, dependable business that produces sustainable growth for everyone. We must all work together to spread the news to schools, churches, food pantries, and nonprofit organizations of all types and sizes. We must actively and aggressively foster a growing membership of charities around the world.

Publisher Membership - Upon attaining 1,000 Causes in our system, we must shift our focus to Publisher membership. We must all work together to spread the news to bloggers, webmasters, online news and entertainment sites, and web publishers of all types and sizes. We must actively and aggressively foster a growing membership of website publishers around the world.
- We must attain a minimum of 500 Publishers in our system before we can shift to our next objective.
Advertiser Membership - Upon attaining 500 Publishers in our system, we must shift our focus to Advertiser membership. We must all work together to spread the news to retailers, wholesalers, suppliers, and service providers of all types and sizes. We must actively and aggressively foster a growing membership of advertisers around the world.
- We must attain a minimum of 250 Advertisers in our system before we can activate the advertising platform.
- It is imperative that each milestone be reached before the other becomes our focus. They are laid out in a logical order. Without a certain number of Causes, there are simply not enough options for Publishers to choose from. Without a certain number of Publishers, there are simply not enough options for Advertisers to choose from. Each proceeding milestone lays the foundation for success of the following milestone.

Let's Get This Engine Roaring! Published: Oct. 15, 2012 As of today, tagvillage, inc. has been in existence for exactly 24 months. And what an amazing 24 months it has been! We have transformed from a fledgling enterprise filled with ideas and dreams to a focused, dedicated operation on a laser targeted mission. Through the ups and the downs, I have had the pleasure of being most intimately involved in every aspect of our life as tagvillagers. Every day I am reminded of the dedication, work, and loyalty of our members. It truly humbles me.
Over the past 24 months, we have paid out $455,186.30 in cash and prizes to our members. And we are just getting started! Our business plan estimates TagTrading will comprise less than 5% of the revenue our platform will generate for Causes and TagTraders. So, as I reflect on the amount we have distributed to our members so far, I am in awe of the possibilities the future holds for all of us.
As many of you know, I am again in our corporate development center in Kharkov, Ukraine. As our complete Advertising Platform grows nearer and nearer, I cannot resist the urge to be as close to the production as possible. I have been personally testing the features of our upcoming Advertising Platform and I have to tell you, it is awesome! It won’t take long for both advertisers and publishers alike to see the years of planning and forethought that have gone into this system.
In my letter on September 7, 2012, I reported some key development statistics. I would like to update you now on these statistics so you can see how much progress has been made over the past 45 days:

Countless times, calls and emails have come into the office asking when the entire system will be complete. Countless times, members have asked when they will finally see the benefits of their work building their Tag Inventories. Now, I have the pleasure of turning the tables. We are nearly ready. We can begin to roll out and launch advertising within a few days. We already have enough of our project complete that Causes can create profiles. The tools are complete for Publishers to create Resources and Positions, choose Causes to support, and embed ad code on their sites. The platform for Advertisers to build ads, target Tags, and pay for advertising delivery is only a few days away from completion. However, before we can turn all these features on, we must wait for our members to help us reach a few milestones.
4th Quarter Playbook If you read the 4th Quarter Playbook, then you know we have established three very important milestones necessary for a successful launch of our advertising system. First, we need to get 1,000 Causes registered and approved. Second, we need to get 500 Publishers registered and active. Finally, we will strive for 250 Advertisers registered and active. Once all three of these milestones are reached, we will turn on 100% of our advertising distribution system. I know how important it is to each of our members to finally see advertising commissions rolling in. Therefore, I urge you to work with us to reach these milestones.
I want you to know we did not just pull these numbers out of the air. There are very important reasons we need to meet these milestones. First, each of the milestones ensures success for the next. Second, each of the milestones provides a solid foundation for sales and marketing, special promotions, and growth for our site. We have calculated the number of memberships in each category that are necessary for tagvillage to meet budget requirements and future growth projections. It is our strongest desire to reward as many Causes as possible and to begin producing very strong returns for our TagTraders.
I also want you to know we plan to work alongside our members to reach these milestones. We are already building and deploying ads on Facebook, Google, and Yahoo to start spreading the word about tagvillage to the general public. We plan to release several articles to the media over the next few months and conduct other marketing and sales efforts from within. In addition, there are 3 major tools we will deploy to help our members in their effort to reach these milestones.
Personal Contact from the CEO
I personally plan to contact 25 Causes per day until we have 1,000 Causes registered. I plan to contact the directors and senior officers of each Cause via email, telephone, Skype, or even in person if necessary. I would like your help with this. If you know of a great local charity, preferably a small one that does a really amazing thing and could use some extra support, please let me know. Send an email to admin@tagvillage.com with the name of the organization, a brief description, the director’s name and contact details (email, phone, etc.). I will personally contact the director to help encourage them to join tagvillage and create a Cause Profile. I will also make sure they are registered as your direct Referral. I only ask that you make sure it is a legitimate charitable organization before sending the details.
Credits Special
We want to get things moving again. Nothing attracts new members better than a real buzz. As you know, we have implemented several promotions: 2012 Tag Guru Contest, 2012 Tag Guru Contest Bonus, Founder Profit Sharing Pool Extensions, Daily Tag Mogul Contest, and the Lifetime Custom Referral Pages. All of these promotions are designed to keep things fun and exciting and to get a solid buzz growing about tagvillage as we work towards our milestones.

Withdrawal Limit Increases It is our strong desire to raise withdrawal limits as soon as possible. However, we must work towards this goal carefully. We are still working with payment processors and regulators to implement stronger credit card fraud and anti-laundering measures. We feel confident we will be in a position to allow members to withdraw much higher amounts in the very near future.
We will increase the withdrawal limit to $50 as of November 1st, 2012. We will continue to increase the limit as often as we are allowed.
Do You Know What Tags Will Be Targeted? I wonder how many of you have figured out the trick to knowing exactly what Tags will be targeted by Advertisers? At this time, only half the trick works, but later, this trick will prove to be a very valuable resource. To know what Tags will be targeted, all you need to do is search Publishers and Advertisers and look at their public profile pages.
At this time you can only search Publishers. When you enter a Tag and click the ‘/publisher’ button, you will see publishers that are targeting that Tag. Or, you can press the ‘All Publishers’ button on the Publisher search results page to see a list of all active Publishers in tagvillage. Click the name of any publisher on the list and you will see their profile page. On their profile page is a list of all Tags that Advertisers can target for this Resource. What a cool way to know exactly which Tags will be earning commission!
When the Advertiser Platform is launched, you will be able to do the same exact thing for Advertisers. Search for them, view their profile pages, and see a list of Tags they are targeting!
Advertising Platform Speaking of the Advertising Platform, I really cannot wait for you to see it! There are so many amazing tools and options for Publishers and Advertisers alike. We are about to launch a revolution in online advertising distribution. Most current online advertising systems force Publishers to deliver over 99% of their advertising content for free. In addition, most current online advertising systems force Advertisers to simply shotgun their ads out into the unknown without any idea where they are going to appear, or who will see them. We took a long, hard look at both of these problems and created an amazing solution. Publishers will earn money for every single second their website is being viewed. Advertisers will know exactly where their ads are being delivered and who is looking at them. It is truly going to be a win-win for everyone.
We are so close to completing the development of our software that I fear we will be finished long before we are able to deploy it. We really need to reach those milestones!
