BAD NEWS

David Ruebush, CEO of tagvillage, inc. personally appologized and took responsibility for the fact that we said we would launch tag-trading on Wednesday, December 15th, 2010, yet that will not happen. During alpha stage testing of the software, major glitches have been detected that require correction. The development team is not comfortable publishing the software live on the site at this time. These glitches could directly impact the accounting of Credits transfers during trades. In order to protect the integrity of our platform and the credibility of member tagvillage referrers, we must correct these issues before Tag Trading may commence. We will focus our energy on the resolution of this issue and the completion of the entire software platform. We set a target date for January 1, 2011 for complete launch. The company does not guarantee a launch date of January 1, 2011, but will do everything within its power to meet that deadline.

GOOD NEWS!

In keeping with the spirit of tagvillage (to pour out blessings on members and to pour out blessings on Causes), we are announcing a three-fold earning platform that will commence Wednesday, December 15, 2010 and continue until January 1, 2011 OR the launch of the Tag Trading Platform, whichever occurs first.

Referral Commissions

Earn 5 tagvillage Credits for every referral who registers AND activates their referral link. (This is retroactive for all referrals since the launch of the site.)

Weekly Profit Sharing

Earn 1 point for every referral who registers REGARDLESS of whether or not they activate their referral link. Each week we will deposit a certain number of tagvillage Credits into a pool and will divide this pool by the total number of points earned by all members. Tag Trading Platform and Site Launch Updates
We thought it would be a good time to update everyone on the status of the tag trading platform and the launch of the site. Our developers gave us a report today so we felt it would be best to pass the info along to our members.

The accounting bug has been completely sourced and defined. This means our developers now understand what is wrong, why it is wrong, and how to fix it. It is now just a matter of time. This is a very labor intensive bug to fix. It is hard coded throughout our entire software platform and requires programmers to manually work through thousands of lines of code to re-write the corrected software.

tagvillage is essentially 2 accounting programs in one. On one hand, we reward points to our members for every single action on the site. Uploading a photo earns you certain points, while posting on your wall, chatting with a friend, visiting a group, and trading tags earn you various other points. On the other hand, members buy and sell tags among one another and earn commissions from referrals and advertisers.

So, every thing that happens on the site affects one or the other accounting systems, or both. It is extremely complex software. The problem we discovered during final testing was that the accouting system for points and the accounting system for tag trading were conflicting when transactions involved all three levels of recording: referral action, tag trade action, and site point action. Basically, when a referral bought or sold a tag, it took points and credits away from the referrer rather than giving them to the referrer. This is critically destructive. Therefore, it has to be fixed before we can launch.

Even though this is an incredible mountain of code to correct, we are being told by our lead developer that he expects the team to complete the project at or very near the 1st of January. Our programming staff has been split into 4 focus groups:

Search Engine
Facebook Integration
Design and Member Interface
Code Rewrite
We are being told all 4 teams are moving forward at above satisfactory levels. The current projection is that all 4 teams will complete their tasks within days of each other. This should occur right at or near the first day of January. Get ready! When this launches it is going to be HUGE.

But why wait until the first week of January for it to be huge? We think you shouldn’t have to wait that long. So, our incredibly creative team has been dreaming up something really cool. Without divulging anything we aren’t allowed to, we just want to say that all of you with active referral links are about to get a really cool tool to explode your referral base!
