That's a very wide question but basically the best way is doing SEO.
Try using Social Networks, Facebook and Twitter are seen as authority sites today, that will improve your web's presence both if you are trying to sell a product or just working on it's branding

SEO is the Best process for getting more traffic to your website.

Best way is SEO quality backlinks, good keywords, good keyword based domain name, articles and so on.

Sometimes the best ways to get a lot of traffic does not compare to getting quality traffic. I normally love to make dynamic video presentations and do a lot of you tube marketing. Offering advice on a given topic your passionate about and to work to make a lot of videos around that keyword is going to get you a lot of traffic overtime.

Actually, if you just type the question you asked in google, you'll get many, many results in the search engine that pop up giving advice for getting your site noticed. However, I'm privy to Nettuts because I've been going to their site for a very long time now and it's a very quality run page with applicable tips and tricks.

I also used some tips from Net.tuts couple months ago with good result, but if you want to go in all tips that will be extra time consuming.

I would think it would be a combo of EVERYTHING.

make a check list of what you need to do
and even them out
you may have to outsource some of the little things
but they do help

Nice session to get some ideas about SEO..I would like to know which is the best method to get more back links.There are lot of link building methods we have like forums,article submission and directory submission.I suggest forums are the best way to get high ranking.If anybody have any suggestion please share your thoughts..It will be very helpful to me..

Yes, SEO means keep creating backlinks for your newly fresh contents and do this with a specific speed which we call link velocity, then slowly slowly increase your link velocity (creating of specific number of backlinks daily/weekly they're shouldn't be a big variation between them like 10 backlinks today, another day 100, and on next day 10 or you'll caught by search engines to penalize your site).
