MMG Member Group: Member Posts: 131 Joined: 2-May 06 Member No.: 50,537	Hi, I just opened a new Paypal account from US, and the sending limit is $0. It seems that I have to verify my account in order for the sending limit to be raised. Right now, I cannot send any money at all. Does this $0 sending limit only apply to US Paypal accounts? When my brother signed up for a Paypal account a few years ago, he told me the sending limit was US$250. So different countries have different sending limits?

It could be though that they`ve tightened up over the years with all the problems companies have had with money-laundering charges, and people opening accounts to scam. It shouldn`t be too difficult though to verify an account, isn`t it a question of getting them to deposit a small amount in to your bank account then you have to tell them how much it is? Or am I getting confused with Google? Anyway, in the long term it`s worth the extra effort, but I appreciate it can be frustrating at first. Anw, I did some googling on this subject, and it turns out different countries do have different Sending Limits. Canadian accounts have a $3,700CAD sending limit whereas Indian accounts have a $500USD sending limit. Yup, and you're almost right about the Verification part. Paypal will credit a small amount from your credit card and you are supposed to key in a 4-digit code, which you can see your credit card statement.
