e-gold is hardly safe.. I wouldn't use them if you paid me.
First they get taken to court by the United States government last year. Is that a big deal?
Then they start blocking people's accounts by the thousands. I've had several accounts blocked since last year, all with VALID contact information and NEVER accepting payments from blocked accounts.
Then the exchangers slow down... it's close to impossible to get REAL money from e-gold anymore.
Would you consider this safe?
I've had conversations with real e-gold employees on the phone, and let me tell you, they are not a great bunch of people. Extremely rude, extremely short with conversations, and they really don't care about their customers.
e-gold is Intgold & Stormpay all over again. It's dying, almost dead... but people still blindly use it and risk their $$.
I guess if you're going to risk your $$ in an HYIP, you might as well risk it twice with your payment processor too right? **sarcasm**
More proof... Whatever happened to the promised "Omnipay Africa" ??? It was supposed to be opened and exchanging 6 months ago or more... They probably got trampled by elephants, or lost all their money to a Nigerian Prince via email right?
NO.. I'll tell you what happened, THEY ARE IN BIG TROUBLE, they're busy trying to save their butts right now and they know very well that they can't open an OmniPay in Africa!
People need to wake up and bury e-gold in the grave they belong... switch to a stable currency, e-gold is dead.

It's stated in their terms of service.. I won't quote it, but it basically says 'we have the right to refuse service to anyone.' And that's exactly what they're doing. Even MMG isn't putting up with their crap anymore http://www.moneymakergroup.com/MMG-Longer-...in-forum54.htmlMy guess is that they're manually blocking any account that could even remotely get them in trouble. In other words, if they find an account that accepts money from HYIPS, child porn, gambling sites, or anything else that is illegal or questionably legal in the United States they're gonna ban it.. no questions asked. I know they banned mine, and I fully complied with their little game they tried to play... "please send us XYZ papers proving who you are and what you do" I sent them utility bills, copy of drivers license, and a few other items they requested of me. What did I get out of it? A short rude email that said they received everything, reviewed it, and decided that I'm still blocked.... permanently. I've never done anything questionable with my e-gold account, unless you count the HYIPs and doublers I've participated in in the past. They can block you. They will block you. Hopefully they do it before it's too late and you lose all your money when they shut their doors.

It's becoming a so burocratic processor. And burocracy doesnt fit with this Industry. HYIPs, Autosurfs, Cyclers and all need privacy, velocity to run. We are talking about very short-term investments and also risky ones. Now, mix short-term + risk and you get the perfect formula for HYIPs and all, this formula is already done and there is no space for burocracy or risks regarding payment processors.

i still use it, e-gold is an excellent system, and it would stay so & better service if the people behind it are great and wise trying to run an honest business. Although big brother is growing big and thy try to excercise power through their own made laws which mostly disrespect creativity and free will. let them be, don't use large amounts of e-gold but quickly transfer your gold. Better yet: invest in real physical gold (vault or @ home http://www.bullionvault.com is a great place to start!

what does it imply?
