what was the loan mistake?

The Royal Bank demand loan contract didn't specify the amount of monthly interest payment or date of payment.

The Royal Bank said that I signed for a loan with interest payments per month with the principal payable once yearly.

I signed a loan for one lump sum payment due 1 year from the date of me signing this loan contract. I'm a seasonal fisherman, how would I pay monthly interest during the off-season.
The banks lend money based on debt/ratio. I wouldn't have qualified for this loan if it was based on my income during the winter when I'm not working.

The loans manager at the Royal Bank of Canada screwed up, period.
