or you can invest in any high ROI venture and which is more likely to happen lose your money in a few weeks

i never cared where the project is hosted. just IMO. its all about whether the program is customer orientated or not and whether they understand what they are actually doing.
if am not getting paid or experience poor support service website location is the last thing I would think about. just my personal opinion

Am I missing something here? Is this the norm?

I just cannot get what you mean. Why do you need egold site when funding LR? you can use any of the dozens exchangers over net for example.
