QUOTE(nothinggirl @ Apr 18 2007, 08:23 PM) why not? it really doesn't mean anything anyway..you can always look and see how long someone's been a member if you want to...plus check their posts if you want..might would stop some of the useless post count building that goes on around here so much.. Just a thought, but if it doesn't mean anything, there is no harm in keeping it there. Personally, I think join date is also pretty meaningless. There are lots of "veterans" that can't pick a good program for the life of them. That said, some people like to use post counts to help measure how much time someone has spent participating on a site. Does that equate to more knowledge? Not necessarily. It may not be an entirely accurate metric, but it isn't entirely inaccurate either. I'd also argue that, for the most part, "post builders" are trying to get their signatures seen, not inflate their post counts.

Personally, I feel that a forum is a place where people share their thoughts, in the case of moneymakergroup, their thoughts over HYIP, autosurf, etc. I got to admit that it's also a great place of advertising.
If people however choose to believe, or trust someone in the forum with large amount of post, or just because they join early in the MMG, its fine with me, but if those people are unfortunately scammed in the end, consider a lesson learnt.
Trust someone by their character and personality, not by the amount of posts made or how early they join MMG.

That has happened several times. Just because someone has a bunch of posts does not mean they are above the rules , and if they continue to ignore our warnings to stop, they will be shown the door.
I definitely agree that people shouldn't trust people due to their post count, but that is more a psychological problem rather than something inherently wrong with displaying post counts.
