Do HYIPs really work? From my calculations, I can invest $25 today and have enough to cover my college tuition by the end of the year. Is this accurate?

What do I need to know about HYIPs?

Hyips can work for someone that is extremely experienced. The amount of gain you're talking about is rare. Most people fail at it. Many of the hyips are scammers. The hyips that are not scamming can still go under, when all doesn't go well for them. The is a very high risk business.

If you want to learn... Maybe take no more than $100 - $1000, and only if you can afford to lose it, and join 10 different hyips. Split your money amongst these 10. That way you shouldn't lose all your money at once, if all goes bad. You should win some and lose some. Hopefully you win most of the time to make it worth it.

Get in early. Get your seed money out as fast as possible. Re-invest your profits only.

What is a good ratio of picking good ones from bad? 4 good 1 bad? 3 good to 1 bad?

I must say I agree that hyips can be risky and you should stay away from any hyip that promises you more than 3% daily on your investment. Chances are they are fony because hyip scripts are easy to get a hold of for any one to make there own hyip. Also if you have to wait 1-2 days for a reply chances are that site is fony as well. But if they have a number that you can call then they may be legit.
