If you're bringing in buku bucks, then it might be worth the chance. It just sounds like too much of a gamble and I think they're charging that high price with no guarantee just because they know they can. I've heard that directories don't generate a lot of traffic anyway - so most people are just doing it for the backlink. If you're a small company the listing is quite expensive and you aren't sure about the final results, but if you're big enough the listing fee doesn't count anymore.
