Hi! I've been using a MT4 platform since then because I'm comfortable with and not yet ready upgrading to MT5. Which do you currently use and which do you think is better?

Oh yeah? Did you switch to MT5 from MT4? I've heard from other traders that MT5 has a lot of new features but kinda difficult to manipulate.
Well, it's nice that you seem satisfied with it. Happy trading! smile.gif

Agree, the same reason works for me. It's just more convenient for now.

Unless if they phase out MT4 completely, my guess is majority of people will stick with MT4.

Would they be doing that anytime soon? dry.gif

although MT5 is touted as the latest platform for forex day trading, most traders still prefer to operate with the MT4. one of the main reasons being that is easier to use as compared to the MT5. the user friendly trading platform is a better option for a new trader. the MT4 has the Fibbonaci retracement tool, that is missing in the new version. plus unline MT4, MT5 does not support hedging, another negative for day traders. the older version provides expert advice too, making it the poreferrable platform in the volatile forex market.

Does mt5 have mobile support? Cause that's the most important part of mt4 for me.

MT4 is more comfortable for me, cause I just got used to it like most of the traders.

I recently tried out mt5, I don't like the way it doesn't allow you to put any custom indicators though but I don't use many of them anyway. I like how mt5 is more streamlined than mt4 but I do miss the old platform.
