Movie: The Last Samurai, What Did You Think Of This Movie?

Anyone notice that in the final battle between the Samurai and the Japanese army the movie showed Sakura blossoms falling from the tree while the Samurai were also being killed? Only someone familiar with Japan and the parallel between the short lived Cherry Blossom and the short lived Samurai would understand the significance of these scenes being combined together at the same time.

Your post caught my eye because this is one of my favorite movies. I did not know of this significance, but just googled it due to your post here. Now I will go rewatch the movie for probably the 5th time!
