I participated in today's webinar and too time to look into this a bit more.

So I have some answers to those who are still confused.

Minerva Place will provide free information about diet, health , and beauty. They already recruited more than 75 well known writers from the industry who write for the most read magazines. This is nice thinking. If they want to be first in this industry they are going to need killer content that really engages the visitors AND the search engines (I assume they want traffic from there ).

They employed some top of the notch designers to put together the site. Well, the pre-launch site is designed really well, and looks professional, perfect (definitely not makes the impression of a fly by night company) for the target market I think which is women between 24-49.

They will offer a free diet video which will guarantee weight loss for the visitor (if the instructions in the video are followed properly). The video will provide free info but will promote a lead capture form below it. If the visitor subscribes then Minerva will begin to build a relationship with him/her to lure her back to the site, and build its returning visitor count. The visitor need to fill out only a short form which is proven to produce higher conversions or else more signups.
Now You might not be aware but many times a visitor comes back more than 5-6 times to a website before he makes an actual purchase, so the autoresponder/follow-up series is the right way to do it. Well done Minerva!

The video will be presented by Brooke Burke from the tv show: Dancing with the stars. Again. No fly by night company does this. They also give the impression in the webinar that there will be a lot more celebrities who will promote the articles, products etc. Which again is a good, proven to work strategy.

They chose Brooke because she is the perfect ideal for Minerva: She is a mother, has 4 children, supporter of healthy lifestyle, and she has a successful career of course. Good decision again from Minerva because their target market is most likely looks up to women like Brooke, which makes the video even more effective, and this might also increase the time spent on the site.

Minerva will try to engage the users with huge discounts, reward programs, contests. For example who send in a really good weight loss story, can win prizes.

There will be many profit centers to earn from:
- Display ads
- CPA
- Private Label products (Books, E-Books, Affiliate products etc., Physical products)
- From the micro store
- Premium memberships
- Newsletter ads

They will most likely use upsell strategies, based on the user behavior (Like Amazon suggests You products that You might be interested in. I personally bought many great books this way of which I would have never known about without the Amazon suggestions).

So all in all I think they have the right ingredients to build a really successful system, where we now have the option to be Founding Members for free.

I am really picky when I choose a company worth to join, but this one convinced me.
