Just a question about the Sen. position I commented about a little while back. Has anyone got that email about the requirements, has passed all of them, and has or has not been offered the position. I hate to email them again but I know I definitely have met all the requirements and really could use the extra $$.

Yes, and yes I was offered the position. The MO seems to be "Don't call us we'll call you." Which was basically what I was told when I inquired initially after I felt I had met the requirements. I had assumed they had not selected me and then after I had moved on they emailed me out of the blue. Good luck buddy!

I get confused on what productivity levels to follow sometimes. like say something is "sub-task" | "task" | "Real task?" How do people decide what productivity to follow? do you look at the middle tasks and subtask as the one to look up?

Ok so last night and today there is a new type 2. Without getting into specifics the expectations are incredibly wrong. There are many things to open (have to use no specific words due to confidentiality) and by the time I do that the expectations are nearly met without even evaluating. Anyone else experience this?!

Hi guys.
I've been with LB for about 3 years now.
I got an email at the end of March that I hadn't met my requirements for some time (mostly due to college and going abroad for some time) and they were going to review my history.
I figured I'd hear back from them in a few weeks (that they would let me go) but after emailing them back saying I still want to work for them, I haven't heard a word.

What do I do? Send more emails or wait (impatiently)? Anyone have any experience with this? The portal says there are tasks available but when I go there to do them it tells me there aren't any. So strange.

I had a friend in the same situation. It took her a month to hear back about what they were going to do with her. They ended up letting her go but she had only being doing it a few months. Hopefully your 3 years will by you some leeway.

Hi all,

I got a mail from Lionbridge about a freelance pay per task opportunity.
In order to take part in this, I have to complete a short recruitment exam. Is there anyone that can tell me what to expect from this exam?

Regards.

Sounds good! I'll have to contain myself from emailing them again. If you could respond to the PM I sent you I would really appreciate it. If not, thanks again for all your help.

Honestly that would be hard to do without breaking the confidentiality agreement that we all have to sign. I can tell you this though, that most of us are paid on an hourly basis. It is possible that you are applying for a different position/test then most of us. Good luck to you.

I can't respond because I don't have the requisite number of posts under my belt. If you feel like it you can PM me your email and I'll respond more in depth there. The short answer to your question is no though. Thank YOU for your kind words! Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the response. What do you know, a day after posting this they sent an email that they let me go. Well, so much for that then. Kind of bummed out about it to be honest. It was a great little job to have to pay for my phone and internet bill. Oh well. sad.gif

FIREFOX LAG making LB difficult to work on?

Especially regarding scrolling down pages and opening new tabs. I have tried, safe-mode, uninstall/reinstall, many suggestions from many sites, and I can't get rid of the lag. Using FF12. Anyone have same problem, anyone have solution?

Thanks!

I am sorry to hear that. I'm always scared of being let go. What was the issue? was your quality suffering too much or were you just not getting the minimum hours in ?

That is odd. What specs are your system? particularly, how much RAM do you have? I know sometimes firefox likes to eat up RAM like candy. Personally since I use firefox as my personal browser as well, I run a portable version and enable ability to run multiple instances of FF at once.
