QUOTE (lumpyspaceprincess @ Aug 22 2012, 05:39 PM) I'm so glad I found this forum, I was getting so paranoid that I was going to get canned because there has been no work this month. I only have 23 hours so far and from what I've been reading I'm one of the lucky ones. I tend to get most of my work after midnight, lately there has been an hour or so of work around 1am every night before it's been cutting me off.
As far as the new add on bar is concerned. I have it and I think it sucks, and I've put in a tech support ticket saying as much, although I'm sure they don't care about my opinion. It won't let you use any browser except firefox or any search engine except google while it's running, unless the other search engine comes up in a link as part of the task you're rating. And you have to manually sign in every time. Why can't FF just save my password like it does for everything else? Bleh.
And for those going through the rater portal to access tasks, and having to put in the capcha every time- why? I check the portal once a day and any other time just go straight to raterhub.com to get tasks. Seems like less of a hassle that way.
Question- when was the last time everyone's quality scores were updated? I haven't gotten a new star rating since May. So I have zero idea as to where I stand with them. Ugh. Hey LSP. Read your whole comment in that voice. Welcome! I have no experience with this add on everyone is talking about and I hope to god I never do based on your description. Barf. I wonder what the deal is with Captcha too--I do exactly what you do LSP and have never heard a peep from LB. As far as stars; no one has them right now, it's not anything to worry about. I would LOVE 23 hours for the month, praying to clear 30 for "early" payment.

I am so glad I have found this forum!!! I am from the USA-South East. I am SO frustrated. I will likely get 20 hours- FOR THE MONTH.... and that's if I am lucky to catch each little task that just happens to slip through. I still haven't gotten any information about the tool bar. I did write the "team" about the lack of tasks and just got the same standard copy and paste email- "Check every day and frequently" I do have a life. I can't sit on my arse all day and hit refresh. Ugh.

QUOTE (Rater1 @ Aug 22 2012, 08:14 AM) Welcome vndnbt and ironbelly.
NRT here, but disheartened more because of dealing with add on issues and tech support has not been of much help. Instead of being busy rating, I've been busy trying to stay away from the computer until we can get this resolved. UGH! I must be getting old. I hate change, and when it doesn't go smoothly, well...
If you don't mind, if you've been asked to employ a new add on lately, what version of firefox are you successfully running it with. I'm having no luck with 14.0.1 or 12.0. Not sure if this is the issue. I've had an open tech support ticket for nearly one week now with the same unhelpful response recycling over and over that does not apply to my problem. They only check in once every 24 hours so it looks like I may need to be more proactive to get this resolved on my own. I don't know if you had the same problem I had (if you're referencing the new TB addon), but I had a major problem after "uninstalling" this new addon (after the beta test period ended). The problem manifested as showing up blank white areas in the display blocks of some task types (in type 3 and 5 category). I had many DL tasks that month. I never received any tech support help despite sending numerous screenshots and in-depth problem descriptions (LB tech support is not what it used to be like, back in 2010). Eventually, I "stumbled" upon a fix myself after I-don't-even-know how many hours of netsurfing for answers and failed Tshooting attempts (it's really just a "deletion" of the problem not a "fix") by restoring Firefox to factory settings: <help> dropdown menu top left -> <troubleshooting information> -> then click "reset firefox to its default state" box in the upper right. Note: this does what it says: restores FF to default with all addons, extensions, etc removed. A side benefit is that FF runs faster (it did on my system anyway) as the more addons & etensions bog down the FF browser over time. You can also run FF in "safe mode:" <help> -> <restart with addons disabled> -> (click "restart on popup") -> (click "start in safe mode" on next popup). Firefox will restart in safe mode with all addons disabled; it pretty much looks exactly the same except some of the addon toolbars will have been removed, depending on which ones you had previously installed. The difference between factory restore and safe mode is that factory restore deletes all the addons whereas the safe mode starts the browsing session with them disabled, not deleted, and you can restart later normally. It doesn't affect rating tasks, but the speed increase was a definite boon on my system as something was definitely dragging my FF browser (on type 5 tasks I would have to wait seconds between click & click resolution .. which shouldn't be happening on my 64 bit, 3.2Ghz, 8GB ram system .. I don't even know, but it might've been the new tb addon itself as the cause). By the way, I have a windows 7 64 bit system and FF version 15.0, I think that's the newest version.

QUOTE (SomberHeart @ Aug 23 2012, 12:50 PM) Hi guys! I'm SO happy I found this forum. I've always wanted to talk people who do the same job as me. It's so relieving knowing you guys have NRT as well. It's sooo frustrating!! I've been with L10nbridge for 18 months and am a $enior rater... Anybody else?? I was one month of good star scores away from being a 'senior' rater. Then that month I got 'no rating' instead of a star score because supposedly I hadn't rated enough tasks that month for them to determine a quality rating, despite having done just as much work that month as any month previous. Something about that always felt a little off. Oh well. C'est la vie.

QUOTE (Rater1 @ Aug 23 2012, 11:32 AM) Sounds like we have the same OS. Did you ever get it to the point to successfully log in, or was this just the fix when you uninstalled. When I first installed it to do the beta test, it worked fine. But, when I uninstalled it after the beta test was completed, that's when the problems started. Apparently, the uninstall does not completely "uninstall" correctly and leaves fragments of the tb behind which causes some task types to crash into white screen DBs as I described above. After restoring to factory settings (which apparently completely removed any fragments of the tb left behind after the uninstall), everything worked as it did pre-tb installation with the added bonus of a speed increase. Recently, I got an email from LB to reinstall the newest version of the tb. I hesitantly installed it again and it works like it is supposed to (but you can also run FF in "safe mode" and the tb will be disabled). It does slow my FF browser down some though, which is a pain when rating tasks take longer to load LPs. I'm still apprehensive about the "uninstall" utility of the new version tb, but at least I know what to do if we ever have to "uninstall" it again (restore FF to factory settings .. to be sure it gets "uninstalled" properly). It sounds like you have a somewhat different problem than I have: the tb is not logging in properly on your system? If so, the only thing I can suggest is running FF in "safe mode" which will disable the tb. You should still be able to work on tasks normally (and not have to login with the new tb since it will be disabled). That's the only workaround I would suggest, it's not a fix. But, be sure to send screenshots of the problem to LB using ctrl-printscreen and paste into ms paint and describe the problem fully to LB (to protect your own butt), but I wouldn't expect any help from LB tech support, unfortunately. I had my problem for over a month with dozens of emails and screenshots sent to LB during that period before I "stumbled" upon my own fix. You may want to be 100% sure that your tb login is exactly correct, geo-xxxxxxxx (whatever your login name is: you need the geo and dash), and the pw should be the one you first got when you were hired (whenever that was), and not the login for gmail or FF (if you've set FF up with a pw). Also, the LB pw is very "finicky," make sure you post upper and lower case characters exactly correct or it won't work properly (I learned that the hard way .. make sure an l, for example, is not an upper case "L," "1," or "I").

...I've had an hour's worth of work so far today, and still have tasks coming in. My boyfriend does this too and he's had THREE hours! Le gasp!
Of course I've probably jinxed it now.
