Hello, I have just started with the Internet Assessor work. I am not able to add even 10 hours a week. Most of the time there are no tasks, for example since yesterday there is nothing. How will it affect me staying on the program since there requirement is minimum 10 hours a week.

Lack of availability doesn't effect requirements. Additionally, it seems the last weekends of many previous months find low task availability. I assume this is due to people trying to catch up.

Hopefully they'll be better availability later today.

My partner got NRT (No rating tasks available) on Friday 3rd March, and he has sadly been notified today by Lionbridge he is going to be removed from the program tomorrow Tuesday 7th.

So, be ready for bad news, mates.

I'm SO sorry. This has happened after two months of a 4-hours daily (5 days a week) work. It seems Lionbridge doesn't give you a second opportunity. It doesn't give you any warning before, either. You fail = You out.

Sad.

After getting OT last week, I have NRT this week. Got in maybe 1 hour the last two days. Very frustrating! At least it gives me time to update my resume so I can find a more dependable job!

I don't agree. Tell me how many times did you fail to make standards and can you really say you provided quality work (comments are important)?

Is there any difference between Ads assessor and Internet assessor?
As being an Internet assessor I was thinking to apply for ads assessor as well, if that is different.
And also if anyone knows if I can work on both positions simultaneously.

Thanks.

Is payment delayed if one falls short of the minimum 10 hours/week? How long does it take to receive payments in such a case? I am short of the minimum 10 hour requirement, so when can I expect to receive February payments?

I may be wrong but if you get at least 40 hours in a month, and score above 65%, your payment won't be delayed, so you can work extra hours up to 20, to make up for a short hour week.

I don't understand how so many of you guys are getting scores of 80% of higher. I literally have my notes next to me as reference whenever I work, and I cannot for the life of my get above a 70%. Does anyone have any tips? I feel like this work is just TOO subjective. I really can't afford to be removed from this job. sad.gif

Hello Rober,

How long have you been rating in the program? I can definitely remember what it was like to be a newer rater and having difficulty understanding the rating concepts. My first two months were below expectation. Generally, you have about a three month grace period as a new rater to develop more consistency, improve scores and begin to master concepts. It can take 6 to 12 months before you are comfortable with guidelines and efficient. Learning these rating scenarios is one of the biggest factors to success and as you discover similarities, you will eventually be able to meet and exceed expectations. Passing the exam is also an achievement. . You can do this. Try not to worry too much. Definitely review your feedback examples and all the educational materials to correct mistakes. Good luck in the program. Have a great day.

Use the portal for educational materials. There are tutorials, recorded webinars, and "cheat sheet" PDFs (I think---there used to be!). Took me years to bring my score into the 90's. Use the materials they give you to brush up. Yeah, it takes extra time, but it's worth it for peace of mind. smile.gif
