Let's Rate Our Cc Bank Services (good And Bad)

Hi Folks

Since most of us are calling our bank for credit card charge back, it is also a good time to find out which one will serve us and take care of customers needs in times of crisis like this.
This will help us to decide on which card to use in future.


I had a lot of problem with the Stand Chart customer service. They told me,

1. Have to pay $15 per chargeback transaction.
2. I have to pay for my upcoming bill first, cannot hold payment till investigation.

I was very upset with them, told them my wife's OCBC not only offered to hold back payment, can also put temporary credit, so no interest charge. But Stand Chart still refuse to give in.
Hey man, scared I no money to pay is it, never owe them a single cent & never pay late before man. 4.gif

(Well done OCBC Credit Card, that is the kind of service we need, I think Credit Card Cust Svc girl call Kristine) clapping7.gif
whether we manage to have our refund finally is not the issue, issue is we need assurance as a customer that our interest is being look into and that they will help to protect us from fraudulent merchants.

So my votes from 1 to 10

OCBC 9/10 (will continue to use the card for many many years, even if I have to pay subscription) thumbup(1).gif
Stand Chart 2/10 (will cancel my card if they continue such lousy service.

UOB has been very helpful, offered to temporarily suspend my credit card, said they will investigate and get back to me (and they DID call back and say that the investigation has gone to their fraud department)

Also holding off all late charges until this gets settled. Thumbs up for UOB

Citibank is non-commital...they repeat alot of standard answers...i called them 4 days in a row...finally...manager called me to update...temp. chargeback allowed...while investigation goes on...VISA contacted, fraud team informed...thats abt all frm Citibank....

Guess i have to consider signing up for OCBC card...surprise... clapping7.gif

I got the same treatment ....

first call tell me I can't do charge back once I make a transaction furious.gif furious.gif furious.gif furious.gif

second call tell me I can't do charge back due to bad service of the merchant furious.gif furious.gif furious.gif

this afternoon will try again with the third call and see what **** they are telling me now furious.gif

Your wife was indeed fortunate to speak to the customer officer from OCBC who was so helpful and understanding. I managed to speak to the customer officer who insisted that I have to pay the upcoming bill first, cannot hold payment till investigation. Alternatively, I can choose to pay for the daily interest. She had also faxed me a copy of the dispute form to fill up. So how should I rate OCBC? post-36326-1110185726.gif

Hi...ok, Citibank called me about 20 mins ago and told me that they have proceeded with investigations and have automatically cancelled my card.....(they finally wake up their idea).

I think finally they wake up their ideas oreadi .....

When I called them the third them, finally they agreed to take up my claim without me saying any reason. post-36326-1110185726.gif
they asked me to download the dispute form and fax to them for investigation. so I will do just that. biggrin.gif

the girl also tell me that now a lot of ppl actually called them to dispute with this stupidpay and ask me why suddenly so? Then I just smoke them a bit lah blink.gif

now this make me wonder total got how many fellow singaporean actually use credit card and fund the SP account and this indirectly means that how many of them are in AS industry.

This cause me quite a concern that will this issue cause AS industry hidding in a corner now become the centre of attraction and eventually affecting us continuing in this industry.....

any comments???

if everyone complain, this make their job easiler - it must be confirm a fraud and hence chargeback granted clapping7.gif

i called up to chargeback with citibank a few days ago they were reluctant but i was harsh. and i faxed them 8 pages lor, all the BBB, news report on scumpay, etc. maybe now they wake up cos they see CONCRETE evidence from some of us, the victims (like myself)

ANd i am sure there are others who faxed the BBB too will wait and see and there is no way I am gnna pay that amt until this investigation **** is over

citibank is the largest bank in the world, if they handle this matter like **** compared to their overseas counterpart u can count on me to whine to the US office! 4.gif

In contrast, I had a very easy and good support from citibank!!!
I called up about 5 days ago and when I mentioned ScumPay, the customer service immediately told me someone will call me back.
I got a call back within the hour from a lady called Cheryl Ong, who did not ask me what happened, but just told me that she will terminate my card with immediate effect and issue me a new card. Also, she asked me to fax in a letter of dispute and that I did not have to pay the ScumPay charge in my cc bill.
I received my new card within 1-2days. And she also followed up a call to let me know that she received my fax.

So all in all, citibank gets a 10/10 from me!

anyway they sent the new cc to a WRONG address so I minus marks for them -> security risk
