Hi there,

I am a Australian living in China, i have bought many programs to help me with learning The Language, maybe i am slow or the language is too hard, but the few words i have learnt, has been through chinese friends.

So yea make a few Chinese friends they are also keen to teach you, as they also want to improve their english so its a two way happy agreement. ):

Chinese is an easy language actually because there is not much grammar in it. Like no past tense, future tense. No inflexion of words at all.

The words always stay the same. Only memorising the words are a bit hard. If you have good memory you can learn fast. So, learning to speak should be faster than reading.

I use these two sites to try to learn some reading. The story is read out by someone following a story book.

The site is LibriVox where you cant get the story of 老殘遊記Lao Chan You Ji ( Mr derelict) from its chinese catalogue and then use the dictionary from ( us1.mdbg.net )

http://us1.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php

Just cut and paste the sentence into the box and it will analyse the sentence.

Hope this could help in your learning.
