My hp laptop is old and broken, so I decide to buy a new one. But I also want to try some tablet pc out since all the ads say they are great as laptops and more portable. I've been looked around on the internet and found some tablets with really attractive features and tempting prices. I like big screen so I focus on one Android 2.2 tablet with 9.7 inch capacitive screen on PickEgg. Here are some specs of this tablet on the website:

- OS: Google Android 2.2 Froyo (Supports multi tasking and Flash 10.1)
- CPU: Freescale i.MX515 A8 1GHz
- Memory: 512MB DDR2(On the motherboard)
- Hard Drive: 8GB Nand Flash (Expandable to 32GB)
- Expandable storage type: Micro SD / TF card, (Expandable to 32GB)
- LCD: 9.7 TFT LCD (1024*768 resolution. Supports G- Sensor
- Touch Panel: Capacitive Multi-Touch Screen
- 3G: Support (Evdo) (requires 3G Dongle)
- WIFI: Support LAN 802.11 b/g
- Gravity Sensor: Support X/Y/Z 3 direction
- Camera: 1.3 Megapixels

It costs like 259 bucks and the shipping is free so I think it's really tempting. But my concern is that I never used Android OS and I don't know if it's complicated. Does anyone own Android tablet ? And is is complicated compared with Windows? Thanks for any help here.

Android is not complicated to use at all.

But i rather prefer laptop over tablet pc. Because of better hardware and better keyboard and bigger screen.
In other side if you want something smaller go for tablet.

I am owner of 3 laptops, 1 pc, 1 tablet i everything have different usage for me tongue4.gif.

Thanks for your reply. I got it anyway, and it works great!

You have 3 laptops, 1 pc, 1 tablet! That's impressive!

not efficient if you ask me. Buy either an Asus EEE Transformer ... or even better an Apple iPad2 running IOS5.

Highly recommend Laptop, much more useful for business and money making needs; I'd recommend the tablet if you need it for more social and leasurable means

A lot of these tablets are supporting keyboards now, if you don't have a lot of documents to create , then a tablet is definitely the way to go

I'm a guy who travels a lot so if you do the same I would probably recommend a lap top for you. I mean if you are in a car and you need to do some typing the laptop is more stable and typing is a lot easier. However I find playing on the road much fun with tablets and the like hardwares. smile.gif

I'd suggest going with a laptop. Tablets are great but i find them to be more difficult to use. The biggest issue is the lack of keyboard. of course they all have software based keyboards but they can be a little finicky at times and that can get annoying if your trying to type something quickly or if your in a rush.
