Speedtest.net provides you with many servers located all over the world to test your connection speed.
If there isn't a server in your area you can host one .

Ps.: In case you host, you get some sort of small ad on the site: When someone chooses your server for the speed test, a link appears saying "This test is sponsored by ............" and your site.

Being from Australia it would test so well but its a cool program.

The internet I'm using at my parents place is very... chaotic Earlier they had no internet plans, just few mbps connection shared between LAN (so your speed depends on how many people are using the internet). Now they added some different plans and limits... Still goes crazy sometimes.

I have 512/256 kbps at my place, it's always stable.

That was fun The results may not be true though since my email/web server is running plus I'm forex trading with several accounts.

Maybe because the results are in kb, and not in KB (this makes a WHOLE lot diff)
