IMO Neither.... get your self a couple acres of land and watch their value grow over the years. A couple years back a family member invested in a whole mountain side, its an island shaped like the letter L he took the inner part. Well whats important is after 5 yrs time the price tripled. even if you raze that mountain side its value will never plummet, and the the ever growing population on earth, till we colonize mars, land values will only rise. Unlike Gold or Silver, if some old dude struck a gold mine somewhere, prices will start plummeting, if some war freak declares war somewhere prices will yet again plummet, and the fluctuation is not good for business. Unlike the lot you invest in, that's an investment that will always be there for you.

I prefer gold too. It is not necessary to buy gold on all money. You should invest the considerable part of money in gold, but only the part.
