I've heard that credit based safelists are best as this almost guarantees that your message will get opened. Now, how many of you are actually finding safelists to be an effective form of advertising? I would suspect that these would work similar to traffic exchanges in that you want to promote an eye catching squeeze page with optin form to build your list.

Thanks to all for the great info. I am currently researching new way to target market that I've never used before...

After reading this insight on safelists, I'll just turn my focus elsewhere.

Thanks for saving me time and trouble!

I can remember 10 years ago when safelists were done bulletin board style, with no HTML or even live links to click. It was a cut and paste world . . . lol. Yes, it's true - safelisting has changed a great deal. Many a fortune were made with safelists back when it was more or less a closed community. However, now, their use has become so widespread and so watered down that they are really nothing more than a glorified traffic exchange. For FREE advertising it's a decent kick, you will get exposure and of course signups to your LCP if you use one (which you should). But pound for pound there are better ways to broadcast your offer or program. It IS NOT a vehicle for affiliate marketing (selling something), but more of the MLM, membership website, or list building genre so keep that in mind.

I just finished watching a video from Corey Lewis regarding SafeLists. He mentions ViralURL, ListBandit, and ListJoe. My problem is that the video is a little out-dated. Are these still good sources or are there better ones?

I am on a tight budget. He says that each of these are around $200 for the package that would be beneficial and not a waste of time. If all SafeLists are that price, I probably will be able to afford only one SafeList membership.

Any Suggestions,

Mike Yates

P.S.- Thanks in Advance

I'm not really a fan of safelists. If we're talking about the same thing it's just a group of people who agree to have emails sent to them in return for being able to send emails out to others.

If it's an email list which is where people have agreed to receive emails but you don't have to be a part of the list that's a bit different.

Either way, I don't use them, but judging by how popular they seem to be I suppose some people feel they are an effective tool for promoting.

Safelists flat out don't work. Even if you do get some responses for
whatever business or opportunity you are running, generally these
prospects or networkers have very little experience themselves.

When marketing some offer, you have to target other experienced
networkers who will then explode your business.

Hi everyone!
After Forex I am looking for other ways to invest. I found such perspective system http://autocashmoney.com/join/manager. I can say that it is project with an important feature, and I can receive long-term profits with it.In a typical month you would require about minimum of 50$.  I was transferred to the first payment in the amount of $ 500.

Here some amazing tips that i just read at http://spamcheck.sitesell.com/

With this tool you can see how likely your e-mail will be labeled as spam and how to avoid that.

Special Tips
Positive Things to Do and Say
... and a Very Special Thing NOT to Do!

Avoid any of the "telltale" triggers that might label your mailing as spam. Some of the most obvious negatives to avoid in your e-mails...

* The excessive use of ALL CAPS in the subject line and message body of your e-mail.

* The use of trigger words like "free" (used alone, or in combination with any number of words like "trial," "money," "quote," "sample," "membership," "access," and so on), "sex," "XXX," "spam," "$$$," "checks," "money orders," "extra income," "as seen on TV," and so on. Even using seemingly harmless words like "search engine listings," "cable converter", and "reverses aging" will penalize your e-mail, so you must be exceptionally vigilant in the analysis of your SpamCheck report.

* The excessive use of punctuation "!!!"

... and finally, a very special thing NOT to do...

* If you think of using a trick to avoid detection (like putting a * in certain words to disguise them or adding 50 spaces in your subject to push a code out of sight), it's only a matter of time until you are ESPECIALLY determined to be a spammer. Because "normal business people" don't use tricks -- they just do business.

On the other hand, there are certain elements of an e-mail that qualify it as being "bona fide" correspondence. With that said...

Here are some tips for staying on the "good" side of the various spam checkers, filters, etc. that stand between your e-mail and your reader's INBOX. Use as many of these "good triggers" as possible, to prove that yours is a real, justifiable mailing...

* Use of the words "news", "newsletter", or "list" in your subject line

* Indication of publishing frequency in the subject line -- weekly, daily, monthly

* Inclusion of date of newsletter in the subject

* Inclusion of the issue number in the subject line

* Make sure your newsletter has some substance -- when was the last time you saw spam that had more than a few lines of text?

Above and beyond that, use your own common sense. You know what spam looks like -- do not make your e-zine look like spam. And you know what a "VALID, GOOD" e-zine looks like -- that should be your role model! And especially...

... NO TRICKS. Just do your business and keep it real.

Thanks for the info

I watched a training video about safelists which did teach about that you can choose a specific sector/niche.
To learn what "credit based" is and safelist conversion and monetization..
which training do you recommend?
