Here some amazing tips that i just read at http://spamcheck.sitesell.com/

With this tool you can see how likely your e-mail will be labeled as spam and how to avoid that.

Special Tips
Positive Things to Do and Say
... and a Very Special Thing NOT to Do!

Avoid any of the "telltale" triggers that might label your mailing as spam. Some of the most obvious negatives to avoid in your e-mails...

* The excessive use of ALL CAPS in the subject line and message body of your e-mail.

* The use of trigger words like "free" (used alone, or in combination with any number of words like "trial," "money," "quote," "sample," "membership," "access," and so on), "sex," "XXX," "spam," "$$$," "checks," "money orders," "extra income," "as seen on TV," and so on. Even using seemingly harmless words like "search engine listings," "cable converter", and "reverses aging" will penalize your e-mail, so you must be exceptionally vigilant in the analysis of your SpamCheck report.

* The excessive use of punctuation "!!!"

... and finally, a very special thing NOT to do...

* If you think of using a trick to avoid detection (like putting a * in certain words to disguise them or adding 50 spaces in your subject to push a code out of sight), it's only a matter of time until you are ESPECIALLY determined to be a spammer. Because "normal business people" don't use tricks -- they just do business.

On the other hand, there are certain elements of an e-mail that qualify it as being "bona fide" correspondence. With that said...

Here are some tips for staying on the "good" side of the various spam checkers, filters, etc. that stand between your e-mail and your reader's INBOX. Use as many of these "good triggers" as possible, to prove that yours is a real, justifiable mailing...

* Use of the words "news", "newsletter", or "list" in your subject line

* Indication of publishing frequency in the subject line -- weekly, daily, monthly

* Inclusion of date of newsletter in the subject

* Inclusion of the issue number in the subject line

* Make sure your newsletter has some substance -- when was the last time you saw spam that had more than a few lines of text?

Above and beyond that, use your own common sense. You know what spam looks like -- do not make your e-zine look like spam. And you know what a "VALID, GOOD" e-zine looks like -- that should be your role model! And especially...

... NO TRICKS. Just do your business and keep it real.

There seem to be countless sites out there promoting the use of their safelists - but what makes one better to use over another?

Are there certain things that you look for from experience before signing up?

Thanks for sharing this data, I find it very useful as I am just starting with my own list building campaigns, so this definitely helps. I will certainly add some of the sites I know that may not be included here. Thanks! biggrin.gif

I like the standard and credit mailers. The number of members is also something you want to look into.

When I first started in affiliate marketing about 5 years ago, the big thing was to use safelists to email your sales letters to. Of course this is still a huge practice and some programs actually work rather well.

The main problem with traditional safelists is that every member gets to email every other member every day, and if your list has 37 million members, like targetproblaster "claims" to have, you will be receiving 37 million emails a day, I don't know about you but if I logged into my account and found 37 million emails I would simply delete them all without ever reading 1 of them.

So if everyone thinks like me on this how does anyone make any money emailing safelists.

Well there are safelists out there that put a limit on the amount of people you can email everyday or every 2 days these are the safelists that people should join. And make sure you are getting more than just email out of your service. Everybody knows that you can't make a living just emailing safelists, some of the better programs will give you even more incentives to join there program you just have to look for them.

I would be interested in hearing peoples opinions and experiences with safelist advertising, and what you would do to make safelists better.

I believe safe lists are dead. I have used safe list marketing in the past. Back then, the biggest email storage you can get was 6 megabits. So you would have to login every few days to delete the email advertisements you received from the safe lists. If the program gets "bounced" emails because of a full mailbox, you lose your privilege of mailing to the list.

So that's how it worked, by logging into your account to delete the emails, you would occasionally see a very interesting ad and click on it.

Of course another strategy was to just join a list, mail once and never bother logging into your email to delete the ads.

But I got better response from milking lists, often it would take 3, 4, or 5 mailings to get a response.

That goes without saying, however if you opt-ed into the safelist and you have mailed out your ads also, then the same can be said

I have always said, how can you sell to a bunch of marketers? everyone is trying to sell there own product or service. so why would they
care about yours.

Safelist are benefical in some ways, however the owners of the list are the ones that usually make the money, think about it, if there is a safelist
that professes, 100,000 member, who really benefits? the person that owns that safelist.

They can send emails and there promotions out and you are more likely to join the owners offers before you would someone that is just using
the safelist same as you, they see the layout of the site, sees the list size and then get an email from the owner of the site who by the way is a marketer too.
SO we tend to trust them , join there programs before checking out anyone elses.

Think about it, when you join a safe-list you have to give out 2 email addresses, one for the list and one for admins to contact you and this MUST be a valid email so they say for updates and such., doesnt matter if the other email is your primary or not, just so long as you keep it empty enough to receive mailing and the priviledge to use the safelist.

Now how many times have you gotten an email from the Admins of the list? What was it about? I bet there was some sales pitch.
It may not even be from the admins themselves but from partners that they have agreed to send Solo emails on there behalf
and usually these programs are the SAME moneymaker that you probably promote yourself.

Do safelist work? They can, but those are the ones that you actually have to pay to be on, the BEST ones are going to run you about $49 a month or more, But isnt this a small price to pay to get a more targeted subscriber base, I joined businessworldlist, a few years ago and this safe list is about $299 a year but the return you get is exceptional.

Real Internet Marketers are going to pay for advertisment, there is no easy way around that, If you're serious about your business,
If you have a product that is a solution to a PROBLEM, then do your research and find the people that are asking for your product.
Remember People go online first to look for solutions NOT to buy but they will buy if what you have FIRST is a solution and not a Sales pitch.

Do proper keyword research, use those keywords to write articles about your Niche and submit to high traffic article directories
Use those keywords to Do pay per click advertising, and write your ads to target the keyword you have found.
You can start and test a decent Adword campaign for about $300 dollars which you control, and if you have done
the proper research and found targeted keyword then you are probably only going to pay a a few cents per click.

Just stay away from those damn Safelists.

Take care and May you all Prosper

Jeff Anderson

....if it's a credit safelist, the very best ones to join are obviously the safelists with a least 1500 members.
The frequency of mailouts should be noted and should be once every 72 hours for free members.
Look for credit safelist that is generous with their credit handouts for clicking on adds.
