I found this very interesting article on the web today. It's a bit old but thought a lot of people here would find it interesting.
To give you a brief rundown apparently the Obama administration decided to stop the DEA from trumping state authority when it comes to Marijuana laws meaning that dispensaries in states that have passed medical marijuana laws can now legally sell marijuana and the state taxes it for revenue.
Before: DEA would shut down these dispensaries because the federal government considers Marijuana a dangerous narcotic with no medical uses.
Now: These dispensaries can run freely in all these states that have already passed medical marijuana laws and because there is no risk of the federal government shutting you down it is now a much viable entrepreneurial model.
