Hi, I've recently opened a Forex demo account. I find it very interesting and it seems to be "in" nowadays. I've started trading EUR/USD for starters. I've also read that it's one of the easiest to trade. I've join this forum to learn a few tips and strategies from fellow traders.

Hi CortneyWilliams, Welcome to this forum, wish you can make more friends here. As a forex beginner, you are trading on forex demo account, that’s right. You need to know some basic knowledge about forex trading process. While you are trading on demo account, I advise you to read some materials about forex trading or some posts about forex indicators. Even you can use these indicators on your ordinary trading. After several weeks trading on demo account, if you can double your funds on demo account, I think you should try to switch from demo account to micro account. After several months practice on micro account, then switch to standard account. About micro account, you can try to open it on Profiforex. Good micro account forex broker.

With todays volatility, nothing's easy to trade anymore The markets used to be a bit more calm some years back.

It is important to understand that as winning traders, we NEVER work on just one currency pair. You should look into correlation and find out how the pairs work together and this will give you a better general understanding of how it works. It is not really true that EURUSD is the easiest to trade, it is a pair that moves a lot throughout the day, for experienced traders, we LOVE this and we cash in on it, but if you get on the wrong side of the trade you are just the person paying off us experienced traders. You can add me on skype if you would like to talk more about this, trading can seem very daunting when starting out, but there are a ton of lovely profits to be made. skype username - tradingteacher

Using demo account in the first trade is the smart thinking, we can get experience in trade without need to worry to lose some money, some broker give demo account to give their client new experience to trade with their service, to try the advantage and to take the profit if we have good knowledge about market. I suggest you to try demo contest, that's a good way to hone our trading capability while we try our strategy and get the chance to win a price, some broker give the real price to the winner, like 999 demo contest.
