lets start posting good forex strategies so all guys from newbie to senior trader can earn good pips profit, i will start sharing and posting different strategies here time to time.

A first good strategy (for short term traders) in forex day trading is "use Low spreads and high volatility"

Low spreads and high volatility causes that very popular way of trading on Forex daytrading. Every each day on foreign exchange market there are many occasions to get some pips on short term trades. Many traders do only trades witch duration is shorter than few hours.

There is a strategy going around called Jareds which is very good for new traders, the signals are clear. But the guy who created it didn't really study his Ma's good enough.

I use it sometimes, with different SMA's

I believe his strat is to trade 2 emas on close with 10 and 40
Use the crosses as entry/exits but the candle has to close above the cross .. If that makes sense. I have a video on it if you want it pm me.

I adjusted it a bit with the Ma's to SMA's and some new numbers. Got rid of alot of the false signals.

Back testing is always good.

PM me if you want the new numbers also.

Trading news is high win % strategy if there are big different in report's figure. It's some sort of volatility breakout trading system. I use it quite frequently. tongue4.gif

There is no secret in this strategy. Just get fast news so u can analysis it quickly and watch the reaction of market and support/resistance. If the gap of important figures is higher(market expected +ve but in real is -ve), the more easier u trade it. Easy in theory but need a lot of patience and practice. smile.gif

What phildunn is trying to say is. What you need is a good financial calender which updateds automatically upon release, so the news you get it on time and can react with the market.

The problem with news trading is, you have to be very patient until the data is released, If you speculate, you are almost guarenteed to get burnt for some times.

There was a phrase going around marketiva chat once.

Charts are the arts,
News is the blues.

Also sometimes some big players trade against the news to gain more profit, you will see some rallies going up 30 then down 100.

Not only figures but it's better if u know the details report also in fast time. I get fast news and reports from chinese forex site. As far as I know,if u want fast news in english, check bloomberg tv/radio or pay live streaming news. smile.gif

I have bloomberg EUR on satelite. It gets the news the same as the site i use for figures, and usually it gives the figures the same time then discusses. So virtually the only time to act is on the figure announcements.

There are alot of chinese sites around for forex i noticed and alot of them are good as far as people tell me. I dno i dont read chinese, nor plan to learn.

I use easy-forex financial calender for the data numbers, but usually i just trade the trend and am safe.

You will find that 90% of news based rallies do not trend a pair. But just put a dent in a trend line.
