It all comes down to taxing online gambling sites...The land casinos were mad that they were losing business to online gambling sites because online gambling sites don\'t pay taxes...

So they got the Congress to pass a law banning online gambling...

nothing wrong with that...

They are targeting online gambling sites only... not hyips or anything else. That's perfectly normal since all other american banks have already blocked online gambling sites.

Just as ASFx said, it tagets casino sites only. If you will notice, E-gold has never made a single reference to HYIPs that I am aware of.

Besides, it would be easy for a US resident to get around those blocks.

Since HYIPS are illegal in the US anyway, this law doesn't really apply.

Does anyone know of any cases where a US member was blocked from any of the gambling sites using this method?

HYIP's are illegal in the US. So if I report the income I get arrested? if I don't I get arrested for evasion? damned if you do and damned if you don't?
