Anyone here have experience in Domain Parking?

Can you share your experience? I have several domains and one domain appraised at $3000. Wondering if it's more profitable to park or to just put a bunch of ads and ad sense on it and use SEO. I apparently don't know what I'm talking about.... smile.gif

Domain parking is great for domains which get traffic, either naturally from type ins or from the fact that it used to be a popular site.

I recommend the following parking companies:
Namedrive.com
Sedo.com
DomainSponsor.com

Thanks. Do you park your domains? One idea I had was to register a name in the .com and also the .net then build and popularize the .net but park the .com

Since the .net will be popular (main site), should it not also cause the .com (parked site) to have lots of traffic?

Yes I have several hundred domains parked.

The problem with your idea is that you might be able to make more money with the .net by having Google adsense on it. The traffic going to the .com will just be people that you are losing from the .net version which you could possibly monetize better than you could on the parked page anyway.

Wow, hundreds. I haven't even parked a single domain yet. Yes I'm pretty sure the .net will make much much more income. The parked .com is just for extra extra cash in addition to the ads that are on the .net site.

How long have you been doing it? Is it easy? It looks easy, purchase a bunch of domains and hopefully make more than the cost of it.

After doing some research, I came across horror stories of Sedo, so I think I may just check out Name Drive and the other link you recommended.

So I have been putting this off for 4 years now. I was finally almost gonna jump the gun and start parking.

I checked out the NameDrive.com which partnered with someone else.

I was filling out the application and it said they will reveal all intimate details of myself to the advertisers.

It's just a domain name. Why do they need such privacy invading info?
